Need help with downloading
Re: Need help with downloading
Yep, that is a pre-installed client.
When you have it downloaded, use 7-zip to extract it, move the entire folder into whatever location you want, and then change the realm-list.
After that, double clock on wow.exe and that's you done.

Re: Need help with downloading
If you downloaded the pre-installed it should not have affected your Cata at all. Furthermore, it should not have created any icons anywhere, so the one you're launching from your desktop doesn't seem legit...
You must extract the contents from the .rar file. Please use an extracting program such as 7zip (recommended), or WinRAR. Both are free.
When it has been extracted you'll find the blank realmlist.wtf file in the root folder with Wow.exe. This is NOT supposed to be moved into enUS -- only in Wrath+ did it get moved there. It must be in the same root folder as the Wow programs. Additionally, never, ever launch from the launcher. In fact, the 2.4.3 one doesn't even have the launcher except tucked away in a folder that says DO NOT USE. So I have no idea what the heck you're doing.
Sounds like you downloaded TBC, but are messing around with your Cata client.

i downloaded the client and attempted to extract the .rar..but
1 Data Error in WoW TBC\data\common.MPQ file is broken
2 WoW TBC\data\enGB\patch-enGB.MPQ
3 The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable
Re: Need help with downloading
You must not have finished the torrent completely, or your computer is so full of viruses it corrupted it... which is unlikely.
Restart the torrent (don't move the file) and it should detect it from last time, and check all the data and download anything it missed.
