Little reminder (MUST READ)

Post by Sylferey »

Ok, so maybe you're new to SF, or maybe not. But you play warlock, and here's the big deal. That server got you down, it took over your brain and distilled some nasty toughts about nature, flower, and mostly FUCKING lifeblooms.
Forget it. Being a warlock doesn't mean you have to play with a fakin resto druid.

For those who wonder how they could improve their fun time on SF, here's a quick non-inclusive list of what you can do as Wlock:

Lock - Rogue (SLSL or Afflic):

The one I adivse you to play, bcs it force you to play well bcs you'll be in danger like 95% of the time until you finally manage to feel at ease with it and start giving nightmares to ennemies.
Basically, all the fun in this combo coms to you when you're comfy with this, because it allows you to kill whoever you want. You can start dpsing a warrior and end by killing his druid.
This combo is all about fear proper opener, fear after saps, and ultra agressivity. A good game is a game where the ennemy team even forget about dealing damage and start running like scared rats.
The + of this combo, it's that it's fucking classy. If you see some good LR in spectator mode, you'll enjoy your trip.

Your anti combos: Disc Rogue, Druid Rogue, Lock Druid (cus of resists mostly), Ret Rsham (ret can litteraly kill you on the bubble), and sometimes Warr Druid, cus of orc racial and FUCKING mace specc

Lock - Warrior (SLSL or Afflic):

It's not the most viable combo, clearly, but it's REALLY fun, and it can make some of ennemy teams crash their PC and quit wow forever.
Since you don't have many controls, most of the time (not always tho), you'll have to dot / curse every targets on the map. This combo is all about switch. One moment you put hard pressure on dps (meanwhile the healer is on dot too, very important), then you switch on the healer when he comes to heal and have already waste his CDs and you destroy him.
The + of this combo, it's that basically, you never lose to double dps teams, unless bad luck. (say thx to bleed, disarm and reflect, saves lives)

Your anti combos: Teams that have more magical burst than you, Disc Rogue

Lock - Feral (SLSL):

My favourite, by far.
Imagine you're playing a random combo, doors open, and boum, you see lock with hots. Obviously, locks have many buff, so you don't pay attention to the feral buff. Fatal error.
This combo is quite similar to lockrogue, with a few differences. When rogue have more stuns, druid got more burst, when rogue got more survival, druid got heals.
This combo is really good here because you can easily counter Disc Rogues and Druid Rogues teams if druid use CCs well
You benefit from HUGE burst, but you have to control very well since you can't reduce heals. Also, being with a druid allows you to root warrios, and some give WD teams some really bad time.

Your anti combos: Pretty much the same as Lock Rogue, don't expect to beat a Rdruid Lock before you get pro tho.

Lock - Mage (Destro):

The one i'm starting learning much. If Lock Rogues games are beautiful, Destro Mage game are gonna make you jizz your pants. This combo is about huge burst in short windows, and parralel CCs. You have barely 0 survival, no heals, and no healing reduce, so you have to be dominant as fuck.
Usually, it starts by lock getting opened, and mage sheeping the opener, followed by simultaneous cast on the same target to make healer shows up.
Your micro CCs (Nova, Shadowfury and Death Coil) are they key to win. These short windows are here to allow ou to cast something big on one target, before that target can counter you. Best exemple is Mage Rogue teams, people would think you have to control rogue and kill mage, but the best is the exact opposite. You can manage to win if you finish the rogue on the Death Coil, so he can't just CoS and vanish.
The + of that combo is that games are awesome, and never last long.

Your anti combos : (not really sure yet) Lock Rdruid, Disc Rogue, Druid Rogue

Lock - Rsham (Afflic):

Really funny combos, but weak on too many points.
You counter barely every teams with Rsham / Paladin, because 2 CS, and as Wlock you deal insane damages (until Bloodlust get dispelled, rip). The key to win is to be 2X more agressive than your opponents, even if it's double dps team. For this, you have to be with a REALLY GOOD Rshaman, able to keep you up AND to help you burst, even if he burns shittons of mana

Your anti combos: Disc Rogue, Druid Rogue, Warr Druid, Lock Druid

Hoping it was helpful, and that makes people start play decent shit, I'm tired to see the same crap combos everytime I log into 2s
If you have questions, please, let me know, I made this on a sudden impulse, so it may be incomplete
