Why you did this?

Wasnt the Legit duration 42mn or smt back in wotlk retail?
Re: Why you did this?
What I would do to solve those long games problems is to enlarge the end up to 45 minutes (25 minutes is sometimes not enough to end an arena. For example, in mirror matches) and end it in a draw (as many people are complaining of the damage based win).
Apparently, just 23 games (up to games played in a season) last more than 25 minutes, so basically we are talking about less than 3% of the total games (for sure) and, anyway most of those games will just end by the failure of one of those teams.
Moreover, I think the currently implement will always benefit the double dps team (in case of 1v1, the dps one upon the healer one). I also disagree with this because specially on sf, there is an abysmal difference between s2 and s4, which will always benefit the s4 team in case of this matter.
That's why I consider it'd be better if it just ends in a draw as it is/was implemented in other tbc servers.

Re: Why you did this?
When we were planning the tournament system, we had the 25-minute system in place for it and the time was based on data we pulled from the end of the last season which was 23 or 26 (forgot now) games out of several ten thousand had actually gone over 25 minutes.ZatYo wrote:im just curious mirok how you counted 23 games?

They chose to play 3 hours, so? No change druid to outdamage the lock .. lold .Henhouse wrote:Why did I do it? This:
Someone had to spend almost 3 hours playing against a Druid who did not want to lose either.
I am open to the idea of changing it to some sort of tie, but exactly like the others mentioned: it makes me wonder if people would intentionally try to abuse that. We have coordinated wintrading happen almost every season. Imagine two of the highest teams face each other accidentally... they could in theory just stall for 25 minutes... Rated arena should have something to lose. The alternative is to punish both teams with a loss.

I taught Xantras to spam moofire and stomp. He probably did well. The lock could never win against a moofire spamming druid so I'm guessing he used hacks.maikal wrote:No change druid to outdamage the lock .. lold .
