Holy shit Deems, NV 660, way to go for the fucking overkill.

I would get the last version but with a cheap i5 from 3rd gen combo if you have to pay you electricity bills yourself. If the budget allows it, a small 64/128GB SDD for the OS near the 2TB HDD (for movies and all) would be pretty nice too for the overall experience too.

If you only intend to use the 2TB drive for storage, you can keep the WD green. Greens are the slowest, blues are pretty standard, and blacks are the fastest ones (bar VelociRaptor?).

The ASRock 970 is for AM3(+) chips and you took the intel cpu, so you'll have to go for another motherboard. You might want to take the ASRock 970 and Phenom 965 instead of i5-3570k if you're planning on taking HD7770. OR... completely different motherboard and i3-2130 or something.

Personally if I chose HD7770 I'd go for the Phenom 965. It's a beast of a processor for its pricetag, and will be more than enough to run WoW.

edit: ok a bit more detailed answer

- GTX 680 is WAY over the top for what he needs.
- Probably won't need a 70€ soundcard - all depends on his headphones / speakers and wether he already has an amp or not.
- 3570k comes 100€ cheaper than 3770k, and beats it in most games. The only real benefit 3770k has is hyperthreading, and games do not really support it yet. Especially not TBC which he mainly plays.
