Totems and DoTs

So, heres the issue: totems arn't affected by damage over time spells cast at them. Spell is cast, and mana lost, but no debuffs appear on totems portrait, and the whole spell is ignored.

For as long as I can remember, totems have been immune to dots. But my memory might betray me on this.

They're immune only to AoE.

Not last time I played retail, and I'm fairly sure they've been immune for quite some time.

Totems are immune to dots, think about it how fair would it be to shamans if someone just used 4 gcds to take down 4 totems from afar, without casting 1 thing. It'd be pretty cheap as almost every ranged class has a dot.
Just use your wand, closest thing.

Aye, I got this macro.. It's just that Earthbind totems tend to fuck up my demons movement speed, even when the totem and its effect are gone. Makes life kinda hard when you should kite shammy with CoEx and dispel Frost Shocks when pet can't keep up to your speed...

Even so, you still have to fuck up a lot and pass on using any cds to lose against shamies.
Now think about poor priests who dont have a pet nor any spamable instants !
