I am really for this idea, above all others.Hardlight wrote:Another alternative (as said earlier) is to simply place timers on BG's.

Timers are a good idea, but won't reduce the amount of people farming HKs. Instead of farming you for 30 minutes, they'll farm you for X (X = the new time limit).

That's the flaw in this action, but getting farmed for 30 minutes is a lot better than getting farmed for however long the enemy team wants.Deems wrote:Timers are a good idea, but won't reduce the amount of people farming HKs. But bare in mind it'll prevent stale mates in WSG where both teams have eachothers flag and neither teams can take the other ones.

Hardlight offers a very interesting perspective to the title system. However, a drastic change such as that would be hard to implement this far into it so far. However, I will keep it in mind.
As for a timer on Warsong, it's possible, but not in the way Blizzard does it in Wrath. There will be no way for us to make it appear as part of the scoreboard. The best we can possible do is have a chat message that says when the battleground will end (similar to the Not Enough Players countdown). In fact, it could just work on the same system as that really.
Some have suggested putting guards by the graveyards, but considering the never was that in retail... it simply wouldn't fit. Though, I'd admit better defenses would be nice. I still believe the sole problem is namely premades. They all have the same objective and know each other making the zerg rushing x100 easier.

Oh, speaking of the title system. Wrath will _not_ be released with a title system. Due to the amount of concern I know have around it I want to hold it off until we feel comfortable adding it in in a way we feel will work.

OT:If you put timers like "not enough players"...is there a way to make the system know who is winning at that moment?Or will it just end without a victory.I'm talking only about the 1-1 (X captured the last flag so they should win)situations.
Re: Make GY farming bannable
Keep it off. It was disabled in TBC and wotlk, the title system was only brought back in Cata, and that was SPECIFICALLY for premade guild battlegrounds. So if you want it slightly more retail like, just keep the Wotlk only titles in the system that are earnable. That's just m 2cents on titles for Wotlk SFHenhouse wrote:Oh, speaking of the title system. Wrath will _not_ be released with a title system. Re: Make GY farming bannable
Well yes, because it will be who has the highest score. But even on retail the timer is simply a like "well sorry you didn't finish in the given time." So everyone just gets 1 mark. Much like the timer in arena now too.Overdozze wrote: OT:If you put timers like "not enough players"...is there a way to make the system know who is winning at that moment?Or will it just end without a victory.I'm talking only about the 1-1 (X captured the last flag so they should win)situations.
It was enabled on SF for a fun bonus incentive, but at the expense of BG quality so I suppose, yes, we will keep it out unless we see a good reason to put it in.Imperium wrote: Keep it off.
