So i decided to do some research about my previous post.
I did 3 runs with 2 different tanks and 1 dps to see the threat (aggro) outcome.

First 30 secs with dudu tank and he did on average ~30k threat with ~800 tps.

Second run, warrior tank in the same time interval did ~20k threat with ~450 tps,

Dps run, ( ele shaman ) did ~37k threat with ~750 tps.
The boss i did this on was http://www.wowwiki.com/Anachronos cos of being convenient ( he wasn't in a instance and easily accessible ).

According to http://www.wowwiki.com/Warriors_as_tanks , http://www.wowwiki.com/Aggro , http://www.wowwiki.com/Taunt_%28warrior_ability%29 , http://www.wowwiki.com/Threat .
I didn't do a run with prot paladin cos i don't have one.

I need your suggestions and opinions on this topic and if my numbers were wrong, cos i think that warriors lack in tps and maybe something isn't working correctly ( ie : hot fixes ( 500% more threat if in defensive stance, bear form, and same for threat reduction etc.. )).

A bear is dealing more damages than a warrior and there is a talent which can give you an instant health (around 500) on hit, it should be legit that the bear will generate more threat.
However I never checked anything about this, it looked fine for me as decent PvE warriors could easily tank every instance. (ofc trash ones can't, it's harder than casting consecration)

Can you post detailed screenshots (i.e. w/ and w/o specific talent points) with the appropriated formulas ?


edit: Are you sure that the hotfix you're talking about was during BC ?

Here are the stats on both on my tanks: dudu http://imgur.com/7vAh955 ; warr http://imgur.com/kgVfxxi . I got my results from Omen add-on for threat. WoW Hotfix (2011-08-16): "Threat generation for all tanks has been increased to 500%, up from 300%. This applies to warriors in Defensive Stance, death knights in Blood Presence, druids in Bear Form, and paladins with Righteous Fury." I think that this is for wotlk patch..
