Hello,
today someone probably disabled scripts. (and also bugged tons of other things you probably know)

I mean /script (EquipItemByName etc)

They were enabled and they were fully working on 1.12.1 - 2.4.3 RETAIL TBC PATCHES..
I was personally using them on 2.4.3 Kal´Gul server until WOTLK release.

Since WOTLK 3.0.0+ they were disabled.
(it is like /run was disabled on TBC but it was working on preTBC)


Can someone revert that nonsense?

no answer? ok i will have to tell you what i mean...

for example this simple script:

/script if GetSpellCooldown("Vampiric Touch")==0 then EquipItemByName("Brutal Gladiator's Gavel");EquipItemByName("Brutal Gladiator's Endgame")end

it was working before 22.12.2014 when that "new dev" came. Since 23 it is not working.

Are you sure on your syntax ? (Probably a space before the "end" and a semicolon at the end of your line if there are other lines).
Didn't you type a letter by mistake when you were on the macro panel ?

Yet, it's possible that he disabled the /script command for players by doing his numerous fixes.

This was just a simple example. My scripts are 1K letters long so I am using BindPad addon for them. It makes makros longer then 255 letters.

I am using them for a very long time and i didnt edit anything. They are all not working not just one.

It could also be your addon which became uncompatible.
May you try to disable it and to use a script which is less longer than 255 letters ?

And if you try to use /run instead of /script ?

/run was just in preTBC it was disabled by Blizzard on 2.0.X+
u could do tons of things with it... like shreding without being behind target etc, it was funny

its pointless writing there if you dont know what can scripts do...

for example you can switch weps with spell without gcd in combat and other things.
you can calculate how much is 3+9 etc
