--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Player -Exsurgo : Potential problem with the way soul-link damage works.
Ok so I dueled my SL SL lock that I created for this test.
I used backstab on the warlock. The backstab inflicted 1021 damage to the warlock.
255 damage was transfered to the pet via soul-lick.
However, if we calculate how much damage should be transfered in theory.
20% of 1021 = 204.2. So soul-link seems to be inflicting more damage upon the pet that it should.
Also if demonic resilience was working with soul-link this would be 173.5 damage
Now can anyone explain why this is happening? Someone needs to log into another 2.4.3 server and see if soul-link is behaving the same way (i.e is it inflicting more damage unto the pet than calculations would suggest).
I have tested on a naked warlock with no resil or armour and the same problem is occurring (Soul-link is doing more damage than it should. So this rules out weird problems with armour or resil.
Now the second problem:
Talent Dmeonic resilience. 3 points in this reduces all damage the pet takes by 15%. So the wording of this suggests that the damage a pet takes due to soul-link should be reduced by 15%. So in effect, soul-link should only inflict 17% damage to a warlock fully specced into this talent. I strongly expect that this is not working on SF.
Edit: I have tested pet armour and it seems to be working fine. Also demonic resilience works on damage taken directly by the pet.
So in conclusion:
Pets are taking almost 50% more damage from soul-link than they should.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Player -KREMU : After testing in several of tbc servers i noticed that demonic resillience is BUGGED here the pet is taking 7% LESS dmg while 3 point in it
the 3% Less crit chance is completly bugged.
Pets aren't scaling with the player Health/Armor perfectly, the pet should have around 7.1k Health while ur health is at 13k but currently in this server pets base health is at 6k EVEN while im at 14k
so that's CLEARLY one of the main reasons why pets are bugged here
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLAYER - ATKY : (1)First theres this, warlock pets are taking more damage than they should from soul link transfers. See this post. Please see the post by Exsurgo under the topic 'pet bugs' in bug report forums.
Now the second problem:
(2) Warlocks pet HP and mana pool is much lower in S4 gear on smolderforge than their stats on retail with s4 gear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmtKl7n1qCk (difinitive proof) 2minutes 11seconds into the video
Take the last link. The warlock has 16.4k hp. The pet has 7.8k hp.(with mark of wild) This is the type of proper pet scaling that was prominent on retail back in the day. I remember because i played a warlock at high level through seasons 1-4.
Now lets compare that with Smolderforge. I got a S4 warlock, gemmed for stamina and got to 16.4k hp. How much hp does my pet recieve after scaling and with mark of the wild. The answer is 7.2k
That means pet hp is not scaling properly with the warlocks stamin and intellect. You can check the other videos, they all provide empirical evidence of this fact. Coupled with the extra damage pets take from the damage transfered through soul link, warlock pets are way to fragile than they were on retail. And this is hurting their ability to play arena on smolderforge.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exsurgo: Warlock pet hit-points do feel really low, especially when the lock is running around with almost 14k and the pet has 6k. I never remember such a 2 to 1 ratio of hit points in retail.

I'm fairly sure there's nothing you should be able to do/get to soak up the damage that Soul Link transfers, not even Demonic Resilience.
Note: Yes, that's "fairly sure" as in not 100% sure. Cba to fish around for it though.
I was not sure about this myself. However I have not found out if this is the case or not. Either way pets are taking 25% more damage from Soul-link than they should.

Now i just addressed all the issue's regarding pet's in this server
