Rogues don't get taken out of stealth when put in combat

Hey sorry if I'm wrong but I'm sure on retail if a Rogue stepped in my consecration and got in combat he got taken out of stealth but here he won't get taken out unless he's taking damage. If I'm right can you fix that? To replicate it just have a rogue run on consecration after it ticks.

He must be hit first to enter combat.

Okay, I thought I might have been wrong but I asked a friend and he said I was right so I thought I'd ask.

Maybe he used Cloak of Shadows to get the opener?
Either that or awesome ms + pure luck they can sometimes Shadowstep+open without getting damage from Consecration.(If they manage to do it in the small window of time before each tick....better rogues usually pull it off)

It's okay, for some reason I think I thought that getting in combat took a Rogue out of stealth, I think it's because of so many times that Rogues step on my Consecration and don't get taken out. I think I was just misled by being told that Rogues are supposed to get out of stealth when in combat.

when a rogue gets a dot/curse on him in stealth it should bring him into combat.
with out even the first tick going off.

I know this should apply only to some of the curses. DOT's however, will break stealth once damage is done. It's very hard to know which curses should remove stealth. But I know Elements and Exhaustion for sure.

Getting a rogue in combat doesn't necessary mean it will unstealth him...for example a wanna be hydra priest will spam mass dispell putting him and the rogue in combat....the rogue won't be unstealthed even if he is in combat.

There are issues regarding grabbing a rogue out of stealth. A feral druid, for example, cannot drag a rogue out of stealth simply by applying fairy fire. Instead you will reveal yourself (if stealthed) otherwise put you in combat, but the rogue is still stealthed.

This is wrong, because the buff clearly states "no stealth or invisibility while this debuff is active." Why then, would it be if the feral catches the rogue in stealth, that it doesn't remove it? currently the only way, besides of course pouncing/ravage, would be demoralizing roar. This doesn't help though if you're a kitty, stalking about.
