What is the bug?

With some sort of glitch in a macro you're able to cast two spells instantaneously with a single Presence of Mind. Most noticeable use of this is two Pyroblasts with the same Presence of Mind while having Arcane Power activated (Arcane Power isn't a part of the actual bug though, just makes it even more severe).

Is it a spell or database issue? (database relates to any NPC, quest or item)

Spell.

How can you reproduce it?

Make a Mage and specialize him with at least 21 points spent in the Arcane tree to make Presence of Mind avalible, and then at least 11 points spent in the Fire tree to make Pyroblast avalible. You then make the following macro.

/cast Arcane Power
/cast Presence of Mind
/cast Pyroblast(Rank 10)
/stopcasting
/cast Pyroblast(Rank 10)

(I'll say it again, Arcane Power doesn't have any impact on the bug itself at all, just how much it makes it all hurt)

Then all you have to do is have a hostile/neutral target and spam the macro. It'll activate Arcane Power, Presence of Mind and follow it with one instant Pyroblast. If you continue spamming the macro it'll throw another instant Pyroblast.

Well, I think I already went over this. But it casts two instant Pyroblasts instead of just one as it's supposed to.

Here are some screenshots taken with a timer using the said macro. It's also worth pointing out that the bug cannot be reproduced with the usual* pom/pyro macro. That macro will only cast one Pyroblast. So everyone that is throwing dual instant Pyros are exploiting said bug.

Hopefully this will get sorted as soon as possible.

* Usual pom/pyro macro:
/cast Arcane Power
/cast Presence of Mind
/cast Pyroblast(Rank 10)

Edit #2: There might be more ways of reproducing the bug, but none of which I know myself. So my accusation about everyone throwing dual Pyros around might be wrong, but it's getting exploited enough anyway.

Nice report, I wanted to report it a while back but I had no idea how to reproduce it.

Weird thing is that it doesnt work for me, i think making POM Remove at cast will fix it so it won't be removed on Hit.

Yeah, that seems to be the problem. As you see on the screenshots, the second pyro got fired just before the first one hit. And I have Pom active on both.

Strange thing is that I couldn't make it work with just one /cast Pyroblast line in the macro, and if this was the problem that should've worked. It may just be that the glitch is very selective when it wants to work and when it doesn't really feel like it. Either way I hope you can sort it.

Edit: Try to max Flame Throwing, and get as much range between yourself and your target as you can. This way you'll maximize the time it takes for the first spell to hit its target. Just so you can test your theory. Or well for all I know maybe you do that with your face buried in coding, just an idea. =)

Better late then never I guess. Hopefully this'll get sorted asap so 90% of the mages around can reroll rogues.

I now made it that POM Gets removed UPON cast instead of target hit.

I can't reproduce it which makes it kinda hard to fix, we will see what this does, if this still doesn't fix it i will have to look further..

I'll have a look at it and get back here with the results.

Just a side note, this has not yet been implemented on the live server, it's still in the repo and will get active when we update the server.

Yo nice to hear that, any chance to also remove it when reseting talents?
I mean it's probably just an issue for WSG, and useless duels, but still exploitable.

Spells from talents should already be removed upon talent reset, such as Combustion!
I will check it out tho and see what i can tweak there.
