Is it actually suppose to repel messages? Because about a year ago someone applied a fix to allow messages to pass through, even though I argued saying I believed it actually ignored messages. But several people confirmed on retail messages they pass through.

I'd need to test though.

Must be a wotlk+ feature, in TBC it didn't block messages from what I remember.
