Don't think pets had resilience in TBC. Hunters and Warlocks have asked for resilience scaling for pets. That got introduced in patch 3.2 (Wrath).Wacco wrote:Pet resiliance is broken

3.2.0 introduced resilience scaling for pets, where the pet would gain 40% of their masters resilience (1:0.4 ratio). In 3.3.0 it was upped to 100% (1:1 ratio).
If there is a problem with pet damage reduction it lies in armor and/or resistances. Spell resistance/spell penetration has been said to be broken here as well as armor/armor penetration, but I haven't seen any solid proof of this myself (might add that I haven't tested anything either). Although, for example the Fel Hunter dies way faster than I remember from TBC retail*. But when it comes to, say the Succubus I do remember it getting two-shotted back when I played warlock in both vanilla and TBC. I stopped playing my lock (and Wow) before season 2 went live though, and I don't know if they changed anything during my absence.
Edit:
Searched around a bit and found the patch-notes.
3.2.0 patch-notes wrote:All pets now receive 40% of their master's resilience and 100% of their master's spell penetration. In addition, if a player is at their appropriate spell hit chance or hit chance maximum, their pet will be at the maximum for spell hit chance, hit chance, and expertise. If they are below the maximum, their pet will be proportionately below those maximums.

* Edit 2: Might also add that this might have to do with the ridiculous damage output that comes with the SWP-gear. As it is now (here) damage output is way beyond survivability compared to how it was in retail. Yes, the gear existed back then but no one had it. This would (in all likelihood) result in damage outweighing survivability for pet scaling as well.

Re: Warlock Bugs - Report here
I believe many of our problems are vested here. Like you said, no one had this gear. If you've ever talked about Pre-TBC servers that are supposed to be successful people will be like "do not sell Tier 3" or Wrath servers people will beg not to hand out Tier 10 Heroic so easily. It's for very similar reasons--the last tier in the game was never intended to be server wide.Cube wrote: * Edit 2: Might also add that this might have to do with the ridiculous damage output that comes with the SWP-gear. Unfortunately, there's no fixing it. Even if I banned Sunwell gear on Smolderforge, all it would lead to complaints, bitching, etc, etc, etc. It would never end. I mean that in the sense that we would be the only server banning it and people would freak out. I mean people freak out already about not being able to get their little vanity items like a boomerang or a trinket. Literally, freak out and make 100 tickets. Or all the people asking me in Molten Core is scripted...
So the solution to your problem would only be obtainable on a high-populated blizz-like TBC server where Sunwell was never sold. Unfortunately, like in a WoT I where I once talked about the current state of Smolderforge, that won't be able to change.
It's possible there is some problems with armor penetration. But we've never found anything. Midna from AT was discussing with us on OregonCore about how he receives the exact same complaints from players and he has absolutely zero idea where anything could be going wrong. Old player, Swellington first claimed resilience was broken, it was tested and proved worked. Then he claimed armor was broken, that was tested and proven worked. I have a strong feeling it is probably the same in all concepts. Especially considering the resilience or any type of armor / stat calculations have never been changed.

Re: Warlock Bugs - Report here
Yeah, I do understand the reasons you have for not removing the SWP gear. The remarks I've made about this in other posts are mainly to vent some bitching, but I've always understood that it's not possible to go through with (which is a shame.)
I'm relieved that you do understand the problems end-game gear like this present though, and hopefully keep this in mind when you design the malls and gear distribution on the coming Wrath server. If donors ran around in heroic ICC gear, especially in Wrath, the game balance would be defenestrated to such an extent that there wouldn't really be any point to play here. Normal 25 man ICC gear was bad enough with all the cleaving around, and promoting this even more with the highest ilvl gear avalible would be a disaster.
Edit: Warlock bugs and all that, bla bla. Pets are a pain to manage.

Thanks for the posts, but resistance/armor/resilience or something must be wrong. because a felguard shouldnt die as easy.
I know about the gear and we talked about that but a felguard or a pet in genral shall not get one shotted like that :/ (not in my world)
but the major problem is that you cant call them back or control them at all.

Re: Warlock Bugs - Report here
At least not the resilience part since pets don't have resilience in TBC. Darkgroom and I tested resilience a while ago too. I think your felguard dies so easy because of the following reasons:Wacco wrote:Thanks for the posts, but resistance/armor/resilience or something must be wrong. because a felguard shouldnt die as easy.
- Access to SWP item(s)
- Full PvE geared players in BG
- Players fully buffed: Well fed, Superior Wizard Oil, Flasks and other consumables

Re: Warlock Bugs - Report here
I've found from extensive testing that pets do indeed lack damage migitation in some way, either spell resistances or physical damage migitation, or both, appear to have some problems with them.
