With 3% spell hit your hit chance should be 95-99%, excluding spell resistance/spell penetration, so it seems weird.

I will, but the only difference should be the AOE resist. The target paladin has 75 fire resistance.

Maybe the AOE resist gives resist generally? WE MIGHT BE ONTO SUMTHIN HERE
