Find me a video proof, I think it should only work on the initial attack.

As can be seen in the movie the pet CAN attack infront of the foe but struggles to position itself behind it to avoid dodge/parry.

The weird thing is that I'm pretty sure the video posted is pre 2.3
I really need some more proofs.

Can watch the whole video but I'd say the parts most worth watching are:Itslovelol wrote:The weird thing is that I'm pretty sure the video posted is pre 2.3

The game that starts around 01:00 & from 06:16 onwards(watch the void walker on the paladin)
My understanding of it is that if you send your pet on a player that stands still, the pet will not try to position himself behind the target. However as soon as the player that the pet is attacking moves away far enough from the pet so the pet has to move, that's when the pet will try to position himself behind the target.
If you watch the game at the 1 minute mark you'll see the felguard going all over the place since the targets are moving so much. But this can also be seen in the game at 6:16.

Re: Pets are not attacking from behind
Engaging, I really never saw a pet always trying to attack it's target from behind, only on initial attack. Correct me if I'm wrong.
It's also hard too see on videos posted above, sometimes pet's reposition themselves, sometimes they just move weird because of predict movement and sometimes they just attack into face.
