This one's not a missing object bug!

What server is this on? Wrath or TBC?

What is the bug?
Quest tracker doesn't update, additionally, it gives stuck in combat bug.
Is it a spell or database issue? (database relates to any NPC, quest or item)

How can you reproduce it?
Accept quest from [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=19578], proceed west a bit to area where there are [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=18879]. Take [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=18879] down to 20% or so, use [http://www.wowhead.com/item=28369] on it. It despawns, and [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=19595] appears, with little health left. Kill [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=19595].
Please describe, in detail what is suppose to occur when this bug happens:
You take [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=18879] down to 20% or so, use [http://www.wowhead.com/item=28369] on it. It despawns, and [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=19595] appears, with little health left. Kill [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=19595]. Your tracker upates to 1/10 and you go on your way.
Please describe, in detail what happens when it bugs up, and how it's malfunctioning:
When [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=19595] appears, you kill it and do NOT receive credit for the quest. Additionally, you are stuck in combat until you die.

My hypothesis is that you are stuck in combat because [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=18879] despawned while you were killing it, but I don't know.
