Because you didn't understand and learn it. It requires hundreds of played games to understand how the game really works, and all the champions. Even still that's not enough. Hell I've played over 500 games and am in Gold ranked and I still feel like I know nothing.

Basically the same reason most people quit WoW after killing 5 wolves -- it's boring. You have to continue and progress until it gets fun/competitive. There's a reason it's the biggest game in the world, so I can assure you, it's not boring.
