2.4.3 PvE Builds
2.4.3 PvE Builds
Server was down, so I thought I'd make the PvE equivalent Bucovsky's post :P (I'll add the fancy pictures later) These are some average builds for each class. There are a couple of classes/specs I don't know incredibly well so I hope others will fill in the gaps, please post below any alternatives (or mistakes I've made) and I'll incorporate them.
(Haven't quite finished, still missing a couple mage/lock builds)
PS. These are just my takes on each spec.
Shaman:
Restoration(quite flexible with last few points)
Restoration(By Ailawiu - less mana, decreased spell dmg taken)
Restoration(My preffered one)
Enhancement
Elemental(points in Elemental Warding, Imp Fire Totems and Imp Reinc, can go anywhere really depends on preference)
Paladin:
Holy
Protection(One-handed Specialization is bugged. If I am wrong about this, please let me know with test evidence)
Protection(My take on it, supplies melee support and more aggro)
Retribution
Retribution(With BoK)
Priest:
Holy(Points in disc are optional, the three you need are; Inner Focus, Meditation and Mental Agility. Healing Focus can also be useful, in which case I'd drop points from Holy Specialization)
Discipline(not often used for PvE)
Shadow(you want Shadow Focus + your hit to add up to 16%, other points can be spent in Shadow Reach or Imp VE)
Smiter(I'm just guessing)
Rogue:
Combat(Sword Spec only)
Combat(Fist/Mace and Sword spec)
Assassination(By Umofos)
Assassination(^^Alternatively, By Umofos)
Assassination(^^^Alternatively, Again By Umofos -_-)
Druid:
Restoration(Only filled the essentials, you can pick what you want to spend the rest on)
Balance
Feral(By Ailawiu)
Warlock:
Destruction(Shadow)(Normally the best DPS in t5/t4+)
Destruction(Fire)(No SP? Have Fire Mage?)
Mage:
Fire(considered the best DPS spec for mage, with added AoE damage)
Hunter:
Beast Mastery(By Ailawiu)
Marksman(In some situations 3 points can be moved from Hawk Eye to Monster Slaying and 2 points from Focused Fire to Imp Rev Pet, By Hedoi)
Survival(By Hedoi)
Warrior:
Fury
Arms(By Illkissu)
Protection

BM by Ailawiu!
As for Resto Shaman this spec is better http://www.wowprovider.com/?talent=2438 ... 5310510321
For Feral Druid there is no reason to make separate builds for tank and dps this one works the best http://www.wowprovider.com/?talent=2438 ... 5105503c1m

Re: 2.4.3 PvE Builds
For restoration I guess it depends on situation but I think I used to use a combo of your suggested one and the one I linked. I'll add it and the combo ASAP.Abwyz wrote:BM by Ailawiu!

For Feral kitty, surely its useful to have the ferocious bite damage increase for when rip doesn't have enough time on a target to have full effect, also powershifting and switching to bear when aggroed can take its toll on mana so I think 2 different ones is optimal(although I'm not great at feral), but I'll add that one.

Re: 2.4.3 PvE Builds
I have made mistake there, Nature Shapeshifter instead of Intensity of course, corrected that in my first post. As for increased Ferocious Bite damage, useless, no reason to take talent points just for trashes because that's the only case where it could be used instead of Rip.Pyrendora wrote:For Feral kitty, surely its useful to have the ferocious bite damage increase for when rip doesn't have enough time on a target to have full effect, also powershifting and switching to bear when aggroed can take its toll on mana so I think 2 different ones is optimal(although I'm not great at feral), but I'll add that one.

Re: 2.4.3 PvE Builds
Looks like the talent calculator isn't working unfortunately. If it helps you can use ours here:

Re: 2.4.3 PvE Builds
Yeah, unfortunately I drifted away from the TBC scene and haven't updated them since I noticed the talent calculator was down, cheers for the new one, i'll look at updating it soon, however this link should contain all the information you should ever need about PvE for every class - hopefully the talent calculator on these links still work (might also be archived) :
