Re: Druid macros
Sometimes (Always), we just want to cast Moonfire, hoping for a crit to kill our enemy but this crit doesn't happen, so we just spam moonfire.
In this case, your castsequence macro for Moonfire + Insect Warm becomes pretty useless.

Re: Druid macros
I'm trying to come up with a macro and I'm having a little difficulty. Essentially, what I am aiming for, is to cast Growl when in bear form, and if I'm in any other form, or not in a form, to cast Lifebloom. And also one where when in bear form, casts Challenging Roar, when not in bear form (for any reason, form or not) to cast Rejuvenation. The reason for this, is lack of key binds/dont want to have to replace my heals for those other spells when tanking.
I've run into trouble because the macro character limit is 255 characters first off, but the main issue is that I still want my rejuvenation or lifebloom to cast on my mouseover target if it exists.
What I tried was: "#showtooltip
/cast [nostance, target=mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][target=player] Rejuvenation; [stance:2, target=mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][target=player] Rejuvenation; [stance:3, target=mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][target=player] Rejuvenation; [stance:4, target=mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][target=player] Rejuvenation; [stance:5, target=mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][target=player] Rejuvenation; [stance:6, target=mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][target=player] Rejuvenation; [stance:1] Challenging Roar"
But for some reason, it does not switch to challenging roar in bear form.
Any ideas on how to write this macro? So that it will cast my heals on my mouseover target or myself if i dont have a mouseover target when in any shape or form besides bear form, and cast the proper taunt when in bear form?
Another macro I've tried is:
"#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Growl; [stance:2, target=mouseover, exists][] Rejuvenation; [stance:3, target=mouseover, exists][] Rejuvenation; [stance:4, target=mouseover, exists][] Rejuvenation; [stance:5, target=mouseover, exists][] Rejuvenation"
However, this does not target my mouseover, and simply casts rejuvenation on my target or myself if I dont have my target. So how do I combine being in a stance/casting on mouseover if exists or on player if not in a macro that'll work? HELP! XD

Re: Druid macros
Hello,
To be honest, this kind of macro is pretty lame, you should consider using modifier macros in order to increase your free keybinds. If shift or ctrl ones can be really hard to use (we may not have these alien hands), alt ones with your thumb on alt are easy to achieve.
I created two macros just for you, I hope it's what you were searching.
How it works:
It casts your bear spell if you're in bear form then it stops the macro if you're in bear form not to use your healing spell (it would if your bear spell can't be casted).
If you're not in bear form it'll cast your healing spell, on the priority order you asked (mouseover, target, player)
If you need something more on your macros, just tell me what and I'll try to help you.
[h]Growl/Lifebloom[/h]
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Growl;
/stopmacro [stance:1]
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,nodead,help][exists,nodead,help][target=player] Lifebloom
[h]Challenging Roar/Rejuvenation[/h]
#showtooltip
/cast [stance:1] Challenging Roar;
/stopmacro [stance:1]
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,nodead,help][exists,nodead,help][target=player] Rejuvenation

Re: Druid macros
Haha, very nice. It's so simple as well. Learning about macro functions and writing them has been quite fun. Thank you very much for your help, I will definitely be sure to let you know if I have any more questions.
Re: Druid macros
I think the Idol swapping macros should be removed since idol swapping gives you a gcd in combat nowadays.

Re: Druid macros
If you don't spam your spells, it doesn't cause any issue. I didn't keep idols on forms and few spells, but still on shred and healing spells, I'm still using it and not seeing any issue.

Re: Druid macros
As long as your able to cast Mangle, or whatever spell you have in your idol macro, it will cast the spell and switch idols. If you are unable to cast the spell, it will switch idols and waste a GCD. So don't spam, and pay attention.
I have another macro question. I'm trying to make an innervate that will basically cast innervate on my mouseover, target, or myself (in that order, if they exist) and then inform anyone else that I cast innervate on that I've innervated them. I'm having trouble with /stopmacro conditions. Here's what I've formulated so far...
#showtooltip Innervate
/target mouseover
/cast [target=target, exists] Innervate; Innervate
/stopmacro [noexist]
/run SendChatMessage("You've been Innervated!","whisper",nil,GetUnitName("target",1):gsub(" ","",2))
/targetlasttarget
So what I'm trying to do, is stop the macro if I do not have a target, either regular target or mouseover target. That way it just innervates me and then ignores the /targetlasttarget and send message.
However, now I am also realizing that if I have a target, and no mouseover target, it'd not stop the macro and continue to the /targetlasttarget which I would not want if I was not trying to cast innervate on my mouseover/and trying to keep the same target.
I know I have weird macro requests, but it fits my play style and setup, any help? :D
