AFK in BGs

Alright, so let's have some clarification here. Because, I see this shit every single day. However, if/when I do it, suddenly it's somehow against the rules. How is it, that others can (and frequently do) afk in bgs, because they're losing and that's okay? However, when I do it from my team simply refusing to work together, or do anything marginally useful, I am the one with staff on my ass. I had Keas on my ass about this, and now even Grael was called on me about this. [Nice effort by the way, Sleuth. ;)] Let's come to a conclusion here, please.

Yes, I could leave the game. But, why should I be penalized because they can't/won't play a BG the way it was coded to be played? It's their fault they're god awful, not mine. It's also their fault they opt for this playstyle.

Besides, even if I leave the game, and swap to another toon. There stands a good chance the new toon I queue with is going to get the same damned team. What then? Just keep leaving? I honestly hope, that's not what is expected of me. Because, that's kinda bullshit...

Of course not. I'm capped on literally everything associated with currency on this server, minus weapon fragments. I can't get badges, honor, or BG marks.

So? Are you suggesting that since my character is capped in those three forms of 'currency' that I can't queue for BGs? I only queue nowadays to play alongside Sev, Nefarious, sometimes Fak, and CaptainMurica since I know they will ultimately put forth the effort. We may lose still, but I don't give a damn as long as effort was made.

I'm a very competitive person, and that's one of my flaws, (hardly the only one, mind you.) I seek a challenge, and if I don't see one, I get terribly bored and annoyed.

What gets me though, is staff telling me to leave a game, after I waited 45 minutes or more for that damn pop. Why should I have to log a new toon, and wait another 45 minutes?

Seems pretty easy then. You play with people who meet up to your standards, so you don't have to get pissed at the rest. Or, if you don't find that enough, leave the bg. Being afk in Tanaris, or afk in the bg is pretty much the same thing, just that you're being less of a hypocrite if you afk in Tanaris instead.

Provided our play schedules match. This is difficult to achieve, sometimes. I don't get much time at home to play uninterrupted for obvious reasons. So a majority of it is done at work after my tasks have been completed. Most of the time, only one or none are online during my short visits. Leading me to have to solo queue. There's really no workaround on that, we all have lives we juggle alongside this game.

Well, if you're looking for competition, or a challenge, then you should turn to something else than bg's on sf.

And I get your frustration over the queues. They suck. I don't see how they get better by you afk'ing in the bg though, since you're not even playing. And in your case, I don't see the big difference between afk'ing in Tanaris, or the bg in question, except for what I already mentioned.

Touche, with the absence of any gainable reward from BGs, it is about the same isn't it? I never actually thought of it that way. Thank you for that. As for the challenge section, I figured you meant arena.

Probably shooting my foot here, but I have spent nearly 90% of my time here, playing a shaman. How often do you see shamans in 2's? Exactly. And that deerhunter 3's I just cannot find the motivation to touch until we can choose teams.
