POPSIS 1v1 event! new rules.

POPSIS pvp event!
This is different 1v1 tournament. Why? You will have to fight your opponent 3 times , with no cooldowns reset This will make
people think about their cd's what to use and what to save for next , not just spam all cd's in each fight
( its unfair in my oppinion , rogues has alot of OP cd's while shaman is far behind rogue is cds
( hard to win enhanc shaman against rogue with 30s evasion eaach duel) .

How it goes:
- 16 players will be allowed in tournament max 2 of each class.
- All fighters will be in raid group with me , i will do raid roll 2x times , to take two people .
- So 2 out of 1 will be the winner and moves to next stage.
- Once first fight is over you will have 20 seconds to rest ( drink , eat) and start another duel.
- I am not a Game master so rewards will be mirror , some consuables crafter by my.
- Ofc winner will be announced in chat


Rules:
- Only class buffs.
- No consumables (potions, elixirs, scrolls, drums, ...)
- No professions (rocket boots, engineering stuff , including trinkets)
- No [Greater Rune of Warding] on your chest.
- No oils or stones on your weapon.
- No mounts.
- No cooldowns above 10 minutes.
- No BL/Heroism, Recklessness or LoH.
- No group auras (Leader of the Pack, ...)
- No eating.
- No drinking or eating.
- First Aid allowed.
- You cannot win-trade and/or allow your friends to win in any unfair and/or unchallenging way.
- Anyone who disturbs fight will be kicked from the event and banned for next events.
- Every spectator/contender is advised to follow these rules.
- Invisible player have 15s to start a fight or he will lose the fight.


[size=150]Requirements:[/size]
- Have atleast 2 000 lifetime honor kills
- Be mature and respectful to other players in event.
- Know how to lose and stay friendly ( no nerdrage allowed)

How to get in event:
- Send me mail via mailbox (popsis) : class , race , lifetime HK's you will get answer in mailbox .Let me know if you cant show up.
- Event time Sunday 01-18 20:00 server time.
- Fighters will be summoned to random world place.


- Warriors (1):Buschwacka ,
- paladins (1): Popsis (shock) ,
- shamans (1):Sanja(elem) , Ifukturtles(elem)
- hunters (2):
- rogues (1): Manzli
- druids (2):
- warlocks (1): Tazar ,
- priests (2):
- mages (2):

If this will be succesful upcoming events : 2v2 in open limited place no pillars or bridges , 10v10 events ( horde vs alliance)

Felt like this was a decent idea, until I read the part where you mentioned it being open with no pillars or LoS. That's kinda boring, and benefits pretty much only melee. Line of Sight keeps things interesting, and gives a brained caster (if we have over a handful left,) a chance. Unless you're intending mostly melee to take part.

Well im sure , casters are strong enough to win in open area + area is not going to be small. But you should agree that druids are OP in pillars fights and even in open area they are strong

Just simple by starting duel , if people are from same faction

Oh i got the question , no i am not GM so here will be no freeze , i just expect to find mature enough players to stay calm and enjoy event , thats why i want players with 2k hks

No, it doesn't. The duel ending when someone's hp fell to 0 in QUEL THALAS causes that, and only Quel Thalas. Otherwise it just refills mana and hp upon duel being accepted.

That's got to be the silliest reason to have the event lack any and all LoS. Just because one class is particularly strong, you gimp every other class wearing under leather. Why even allow bandages then? The only class that will viably be able to use them would be a rogue, possibly a priest if fear isn't immediately willed/trinketed/wears off on a single tick of pain, etc. This might be why ONLY Melee has spoken to you so far. Something to consider.

You have a good idea here, and included quite a bit of arena mechanics into it with the restrictions on cooldowns, profession and consumable use. However, if you remove LoS from the equation, you lose that atmosphere and remove too much skill. That is what makes arena fun to watch, the constant countering of one team versus the other on their ability to nuke, control, and heal.

One last point, you mentioned a large open area. Careful not to make it too large, or your rogue v rogue matches will never end. You don't have shadow sight, after all. A rogue that is getting his ass beat could easily hide in stealth a good distance away to regen and troll.

Zapcraclepop well you got the point , but for first event i allready found nice place for it , maybe next time i will get another one with some LOS , and for rogue? i mentioned in rules , max 15s invisible , i think its enough to plan your next moves , and not to long to wait for cd's , well anyways in event you will see only 2 rogues , small chance for that fight
