Sorry guys, but just like last year I took all the donation money to pay for a vacation at the beach (last year I used the new server donation money).

... Just kidding, hehe.


Every year my family goes to the beach and this is the time I went this year (last year it was able 2 weeks from now). In edition about 1 year ago characters were wiped on the server by a GM mess-up. This means, we've successfully had no problems for a year now! Hurray for that!

Anyway, I was reading the thread on the old board and wow... it brings back memories. Only Kyle, Maria, Mysterious, Wutzke and myself will probably remember the thread.

Damn, looking around the old server brought me up to the GM Island Event... That was pretty EPIC if I do say so myself.

I went to the beach this morning with some friends. I skimboarded and it was pretty fun. Additionally i got sand in my pants. Then i went to jersey mikes and got a philly cheesesteak

I went to the beach today too. It was really great. The ocean was really clear and the water was so soothing.

grats henhouse, i feel like this is a great day in smolderforge, maybe it is just me but this server has become a home for almost anyone who sets foot inside. I believe that in time, this server could replace retail for me, and maybe it already has for some. Thank you all for this great server, especially henhouse, maria, riski, wutzke, and anyone else i am forgetting thank you all!!!

Oh yeah, the reason avatars or smilies don't display is because it's looking for them at /forums still. I never changed it to look into /oldboard when I moved it, hehe.

Falax actually apologized to me on retail months later when he found me. He said he was extremely sorry and knew I probably wouldn't forgive him but he was sorry. Then he quit retail after harassing the woman in the guild... just like he did months ago in the previous guild.

WOW, GM Island event was fun I must say, making it was cool too. (See below for reference)

Yeah, Anthony, Smolderforge has been around for a while now, kind of hard to believe over one year. But I mean, loads of people have come and go. The oldest still-active player is definitely Maria -- he wins that award by far. He was probably one of the first 2000 accounts and he was like the second GM to be hired. Hehe, it was so different back then. I think I hired like 9 GM within 2 days... that went well... Hehe.

Basically I was imprisoned on GM Island, and you had to save the server by killing the people who had set it afire and the end-boss Dreadlord Mal'ganas, which is funny because he was a spreader of the undead plague and whom Arthas killed. Oh well, the event was quite fun.
