Hey, I was looking around the forum but couldn't find any topic with this question, is Smolsderforge planning on releasing WoTLK realm (again) or Cataclysm? Thanks for the info in an advance :)

We'd love to, but unfortunately I'm afraid we seem to lack the time and resources (developers, etc.) to help us successfully do that. Most Wrath realms are expected to work perfectly now from the beginning. Lacking a developer that would be able to fix these things may prove to be... difficult to please the community.

I remember that a Wotlk server was supposed to come out in July, what happened with that?

It did in July of 2012. However we had numerous unforeseen problems that pretty much caused serious problems with keeping the population and I horribly put in place a bad gear progression system where it was overruled by donors straight away.

If I were to do it again, I would narrow the gear gap tremendously and probably hold off on donations until later, or make them more vanity items.

if its released you'll know about it. are you going to celebrate it pre-release with some party or something

Most of us who play here play because this is a TBC server. We don't need/care WoTLK of Cata.
