I found this story quite interesting. I believe Blizzard over-reacting with a mistake, they made.

OMG, wth? That's so retarded. If Blizzard sent it to them, why ban them because they have an item that wasn't supposed to be sent, ban the person who sent it, not the poor fella who didn't know why it was in his mailbox.

I agree... They made a mistake and they thing that the right thing to do is punish innocent players just because they didn't do the right thing and tell Blizzard about the problem right away. I can see the whole guild wide account lock being a good idea just so they can get things settled and make sure no one else is affected in this but the banning was truly not necessary.

I would have personally kept the shirt a complete secret and used it to farm the Alar mount off KaelThas. Also i would probably use it to solo MC/BWL to get my hand of rag/thunderfury. Maybe even solo Sunwell to get myself a nice bow. Feat of Strengths are nice. I would have made tons of gold in the process too!

The kid who received it is a complete moron, i could have made so much gold/usd off it.

You might get away with what you were thinking of using it for but if you REALLY put yourself in that position are you truly RISKI enough to take the chance of getting perma banned just cause you didn't report it from the start...?
