Pathfinding (movemaps) are now implemented in arena!

After a very long time of work and development regarding pathfinding, we are now ready to begin its roll-out implementation. Due to the nature of these calculations required, these maps will only be enabled for arena maps to observe performance and quality of the feature.

During this initial implementation, we will be observing for issues and performance levels of the server. Our next step will then be to roll out on battleground maps, and eventually PvE.

It is unclear at this time if we will ever enable MMaps for the world maps due to large scale of these maps, but only time will tell that.



I would really appreciate some feedback to be given in this thread from anyone engaging in arena and post any feedback, reports, etc. in this thread. Thank you so much!

Hopefully it's bad luck but just had an arena where my pet was stuck in one spot, he was right next to the tombstone in Ruins.

That's the one place we're noticing issues with at the moment, and we're looking into it. Thanks for the feedback though.

Did the pet get stuck about half way up on the tomb while trying to chance a target up? I have noticed this happening a few times and I am making a patch to hopefully solve the issue.

I take it the pet was only temporarily stuck, and resumes attacking when the enemy target moved about a little?
