Tryn's Guide to Focus Fire

Post by Trynamere »

Really tired of seeing common mistakes with this in BG's especially for alliance...

So i thought i would post this.

Rule number 1- ALWAYS FOCUS THE HEALER! no if's and's or but's, if you see any class that can heal look at it's buffs (for example a priest with shadow form is obviously not a healer.) and what spells it is casting. If its healing start hitting. Use interrupts, stuns, silences EVERYTHING you got. And god forbid, saw this today... if he/she is healing a tank... please for the love of this world do not attack the tank, your doing nothing but wasting time.

Rule number 2- Defend your healers! The longer your healer stays alive, the more you stay alive. It is a hand in hand companionship. He can't live with out you and you deffinetly cant live with out him.

Rule number 3- always fight on the flag/control point. If you don't.... you can say good bye to Lumber Mill, or your factions flag/the Netherstorm flag.

Rule number 4- In big team fights, after rule #1 was followed instantly focus what class you believe to deal the most damage, once you get the brute force out of the way killing the rest is easy.

Rule number 5- (melee) If your fighting a group of casters focus the one that has the most slows, usually the mage. The sooner you are done killing them the longer you can constantly deal damage. (caster) the caster side of this rule is sort of the same but instead you want to focus classes with silences, if your any kind of dps caster silences will put all your 1337 damage into a dead stop.

Rule number 6- When you are out numbered and are able to get away, run towards teammates. Don't run away from teammates and then complain to healers. Even though you LoS'd them. If you can't get away try and dish out as many slows, armor reducing, attack power reducing, any abilities to weaken your opponent that way when reinforcement finally arrives they are not fighting the enemies at full potential.

That's the rules, follow them and i guarantee you will win more BG's.
I'm also going to make "Tryn's Guide to Focus Healing" next.
