Is There A New Users Guide?

Greetings all. I have been trying to get connected to Smolderforge for 3 days, and Finally I am here! Yay!

I logged in today and found myself in a strange area in Tanaris. I see lots of vendors and other stuff, but I am deeply confused on exactly what to do to get started. I have been reading through the forums for a few hours looking for a "New Users Guide" of sorts, but not finding one.

I am not trying to sound like an uber-noob, but this is the very first time I have ever logged into a private server, and never played during TBC content. So please forgive my ignorance, but can someone point me towards a New Users Guide, or something similar with some basic information on what I need to do to get started? I am eager to begin and see the old world, but I'm just a little lost at the moment.

Thanks in advance for any advice or recomendations you good folks can offer.

Cheers!

New Comer's Guide 101.

1. Everything you need freshly starting out is located at the "Mall"

2. The professions require reputation in order to purchase the mats. (Alchemy and Engineer require Shattered Sun Rep) The others you will need to gain Scryer or Aldor reputation for. Don't worry, rep gain here is accelerated.

3. In case you don't want to grind rep, it costs $8 to exalt one of the important ones.

4. On the matter of donation, Season four (Brutal) is $5. You get way more than just that however, making it possibly the most beneficial donation of them all. Plus you're aiding Henhouse in keeping the server up with those donations, so it's equally beneficial.

5. Asking random people for donation is often seen as annoying, if for one reason or another you cannot donate; S3 is dang near as good as s4.

6. PvE is kind of a joke here. Unless you run with the guild 'MYTH' don't even bother, it'll save you bashing your head against a wall.

7. Make sure to have popcorn on hand at all times, our tradechat can be rather amusing at times.
