This game is pretty much survival, you cannot kill any of the monsters. You have to constantly run and hide as you're trying to make your way through the castle while trying to retain your sanity. The voiceacting and story is quite compelling so your sure to enjoy it.

I was playing this game with some friends in one of our university's common rooms last night with the computer HDMI'ed to the TV so we could all watch. It was so insane -- we were up until 4am freaking the hell out. I eventually died when one of the monsters chased me down.

One of the biggest fear factors is how when you're running away from these monsters you have to take the time to open a door that usually you have to pull towards you, or pull levels, etc. while a monster is chasing you. It makes you freak the hell out.

It sucks to be on skype with you hen, when i read something you posted, i really read it like the way you would say it on skype haha, but still ur scary so i am lollling.

My friends girlfriend insisted on getting to try the game. We all said that she wouldn't probably like it and its scary as hell but she wouldn't hear us. So after two nights of her trying it out my friend has to endure sleeping with almost all the lights on, and her gf waking up randomly from nightmares and screaming :D:D

The lantern is overrated, unless you have people watching you who complain why you just run around without it... and sanity drops aswell, but who needs that crap anyway, nothing wrong with having a nap from time to time. ;]

Great game by a great studio. Played it the day it was released. They also made the Penumbra series which are awesome, or well the two first are. Third one was just shit.

If you enjoy Amnesia have a look at the first two Penumbra games.

So when I scream everyone accepts me for who I am? Sounds good to me, I'm installing it on my desktop now while I'm in class.
