Honor farming and griefing

Count this as a QQ thread, don't care, point is what's going on just isn't fun and it pushes people away from the server. Today for example, guild Holy Macestun Batman honor farmed wsg for 39 minutes, stood in our own graveyard with our flag or stood right in their flag room and just repeatedly dropped/picked it up. First few players got a solid 109 kills, all the while one of their players spammed their guild recruitment advising players to pay for a faction change and join their guild.

Little much don't you think? I'm not here to complain that we lost, we obviously got dominated in every way. I'm not gonna QQ about the group I had, doesn't matter. It's the point that this blatant honor farming and group griefing is just an instant piss off and pushes people strongly away from the server. Is it any wonder why horde to alliance ratio is probably 20:1 with how this seems to be generally accepted.

If you're a good player, you joined a good guild, and you earned good gear, good for you. Win the match, that's the goal after all isn't it? Have fun, get your kills, that's why you're playing right? But know when you're pushing the line and when sportmanship turns to petty ignorance. Don't ruin a good thing, and GM's don't let it happen.

How are the GMs going to do anything against this? Yes the Horde is more populated than Alliance, but I generally don't have any trouble with their group. Play smart and effectively and that won't happen. It's nothing to do with the "GM's letting it happen", it's you guys letting it happen. Leave the game.. do something. They're not doing anything wrong. Play smarter and don't let them farm you.

It's honor farming and griefing, both I believe are against the rules. Ya I can leave, and wait for my deserter debuff to wear off, but I shouldn't be forced to have to do this. In my example the group clearly won, so just win. There's no point in just honor farming and griefing us, and yes the GM's can do something. They can't do anything about the balance of factions, that wasn't my point. They can act and do something against people or groups who do stuff like this.

Well i agree with you,and i think camping on graveyard is bannable,i mean it is on a servers where i played, idk about keeping flag in flagroom but for graveyard i'm sure,so if its not it should be bannable to camp at graveyard just to farm some HK's.at the end its sad..

How do you propose GM's can "balance the factions"? It was a 10v10 game, yes? That is balanced. Since when was Honor Farming ever against any rules? It what way was it griefing? Graveyard camping? Funny, graveyard camping was done on retail. I don't see the problem. You win some, you lose some. I've never been graveyard camped for over a minute or two. I've never had a problem with it.

I think you need to go back and actually read the posts, the GM's can't and shouldn't balance the factions in any way, the idea is stupid. Graveyard camping happened on retail and was a bannable offense. It was griefing because they deliberately camped the area and killed the players before they could get a chance to take a step after spawning. You win some, you lose some, I agree whole heartedly, but for this to happen, to be griefed, honor farmed in this example for 39 minutes seems a little out of hand. Also since it was a bannable offense on retail it should be on here shouldn't it?

No, since when is it not allowed to farm honor..

You could also just have left that bg by the way.
