Themmm so called "Best of Topics"

Why are these illegal? I dont see them doing any harm to anyone?

But what I do know is that.. they bring an enormous of joy to the people mentioned in them! And it gives new players or players that don't know how to play that well something to look up to... and speak to for a piece of advice. And well, people have different opinions of who is "the best of...." but why wont we just let people have different opinions? This can cause arguements I guess? But it shouldn't be a problem... seeing how these forums are getting ninja-police-force-controlled by Game Masters.

I honestly would love to see a thread of who people think is acctually the best at their class. Should just make a thread, and write that there will be no flaming. If people do, just remove the post and give them a warning or something.

Flaming can be done ingame, i get flamed 40 times a day, even when im not online. It's just fun to see what people think.

What harm could it do, if the flaming posts gets removed/they get a warning? It's not like there will be 200posts/day in the thread so it'll probably be easy to stay on top of the flaming part.

So it's fine for us to go out of our way to "police" topics for flamers and remove their post and warn them but its not ok for us to delete a topic that has always turned into a flame fest within days in the past?

I understand why you guys want to be able to say who's the best in your opinion but it's just not something we can let you do. The reason is simple and it's that people on the internet are not mature/smart enough to handle something like that. I've seen retarded posts and ridiculous flame fests since this server started. There is no stopping them or the people that do it. The only thing we can do is delete the topics we know will end up being one. "Best of..." topics have always turned into nerd rage arguments, and have never once actually involved debates of slight intelligence.

I wish we could let you guys do whatever you want without the flaming and annoying posts but frankly it's too easy to be a prick on the internet so we can't, and I'm sick of policing topics that could just be stopped before it gets worse.
