depends.
if the shammy/pally are good, they can probably turtle it out more often than not.
but..
most likely, equal skill, rogue/mage will win
Rogue mage would probably play - CC ret paladin (sap, sheep, sheep, sheep, blind, sap, sheep, etc) while nuking shammy. Shammy might get bop'd, but a good mage would spellsteal that off (especially in 3.0.8 when it's taken off dispel resistance).
Shammy paladin would either play defensively to turtle, using freedom and bop on the shaman to keep him out of stuns from the rogue, bubbling early to help heal slow the burst by putting pressure on the mage. repent/hammer on the rogue.
basically depends on the players, could very well go either way.

I have to interject and address the fact that sheep and sap do, in fact, share diminishing returns...
A blind right after three sheeps results in 5 seconds after the blind where the CC target is sheep/sap immune and can therefore get into combat.
That's if the shaman/pally allow it to even get there, though, as the shaman has earth shock and grounding totem to keep the paladin out of cc.

but tell me this, wont the shaman either be silenced or stunned the whole time? esp. since he will want to trinket deep freeze because BOP is only immune to melee, he will be slowed casting by 60% and reduced healz by 50% wont he be useless to heal himself?

For sure the Retribution Paladin and Restro Shaman will win, since The Mage CC is not that good anymore. Shamans Lesser Heal is to hard to Burst down. Also the new ability called Hexx will help alot to Keep the rogue away. The Paladin should just use Repetence on the Rogue for making him use he's PvP trinket.

Both the players on the shaman/paladin team can cleanse poisons, in addition to the poison cleansing totem ticking. Yeah, there's dispel resistance, but it's do-able, especially now that wound is just one debuff instead of being a stack of 5.
The paladin can Hand of Freedom a stunned target to remove the stun. Judgement of Justice also allows kiteability of a rogue (to an extent).
This match is simply not decided based on composition, both sides seem to have a good chance against each other.

: ) next patch it will not be doable for the paladin/shammy team cuz there is a 30 second cooldown between each bubble, hand of protection and divine protection : ) woot gg shammy pally team

Hand of Freedom. Poisons no longer have dispel resist, so the shaman is completely free of that as well.
Don't underestimate a good team, I wouldn't say.

poisons still have spell resist, lol they didnt nerf rogues at all lol check patch notes again and ya the bubble thing will make us win cuz both cant be bubbled at same time, if he bubbles shammy, we take out pally while he is poly'd

Sorry, but poisons other than deadly will not have dispel resist.
From Ghostcrawler:
...The general rule of thumb is that helpful spells (e.g. buffs) and dots are protected. Other offensive spells (e.g. crowd controls) are not.
We are definitely interested on hearing feedback on this implementation. We like the basic mechanic of casting and dispelling spells, but I think many players agreed that the system beyond that needed an overhaul. I am sure many players have their own ideas on how this should have worked, because a lot of them have been pitched to us.
Feel free to discuss dispel and dispel resistance here rather than having the conversation across multiple threads.
NOTE: The dispel spells themselves have not changed. Offensive spells that do no damage (say Polymorph) will just be easier to dispel now. They will not benefit from the talents that make dispels harder.
Again, earth shock and grounding totem, not to mention a flat-out cleanse on a poly that gets through. The way you're viewing the possibilities in your head is if the other team does nothing...
