Being Lvl 70 for real?

Well, I've noticed that the Dev team here has put a lot of effort in to scripting things properly and I figure it might be a bit of fun to do the actual PvE progressions of TBC(looking for that classic feel aren't we?)

What my proposition is basically get a guild together of folks(alts or whatever), who start in t5 etc, but actually get rep from 5-mans and such, and then start the actual raid progression of TBC in Kara/Mag/Gruul etc. I think it'd be a great experience, as well as quite a bit of fun for more skilled PvE people looking for a legitimate experience again.

I personally quit retail in TBC and never had a chance to experience it and would like one if I could get a few people on board for this effort.

Please send an ingame mail to Fisticuffs if interested. Obviously faction doesn't matter, I imagine we could make a horde and alliance guild if we had both factions included in the guild. I live US East but based on response we can find a mutual 1-3 days of raiding a week at a set time would be great.

Thanks.

The community here isn't very interested in stuff like that.

One, because only about 20% of them speak english
Two, the only "progression" is ZA, which drops final tier loot, like SWP items.
Three, ????
Four, profit.

Wait, there is no profit. Sure, it's a great idea but I really don't think anyone is interested playing a rogue in bloodfang when there's T5/T6 available.

I'd appreciate if this thread was relegated to people of like minds rather than people saying I have a stupid idea. Thanks in advance.

This type of idea is good in theory, but would not work on a funserver like Smolderforge. It would have to be applied to a leveling server or something of that matter.

What? I really hope you're trolling.

Really. because if not you're about to get flamed by every single tbc hero on the server.

Well I can't say too much about it but at Oregon, the other main developer and I, along with some of the community are possibly going to publish a retail-like TBC server.

A bit of our code is going private though because a new large community TBC server is using OregonCore and is just 100% leeching from the project and has made no contributions which quite frankly, pisses us off and is not fair especially since they will probably make a lot of money off our work. And everyone who's oblivious will praise them for their work... >_>

Gibb's rule number 1, never tell anyone your secrets. If you must, tell only one person who wont tell anyone else. or it's not a secret anymore.

Yeah right, another Blizzlike TBC server, that totally would work.
Try something else... =P

Smolderforge is the other extreme though, as much as I like that server, it makes things too easy (and why the do people start with T5 instead of T4)... really, try something in between. WoW isn't about having the best gear, it's about grinding for it.
