Yesterday around 12PM or earlier, all phones in my region lost service. Alltel, Verizon, AT&T. Our internet went down, land lines were unable to do certain things as well.
I work at a grocery store, and we use the phone lines to cash checks as well as communicate with banks, and as you can imagine, our EFT payment type didn't work. I've not heard any news on this, so I was wondering how large the effect was.
EDIT: Confirmed it was just in Colorado, the entire San Luis Valley region had no communications whatsoever. Heard rumors of the meteor shower having an effect on the satellites above our region, but I don't know for sure.
National/State-wide Failure?

Ya we were fine as well. It possibly was the meteor shower because those things do have a lot of effect on our radio and wireless transmissions. Seems scary man..something out of the twilight zone.Imperium wrote:Yesterday around 12PM or earlier, all phones in my region lost service. Alltel, Verizon, AT&T.
