Seems to me like someone really can't take criticism at all, you need to get over yourself already.

Just to correct you there, Henhouse does have that right. It's in the Terms of Service that you agreed to.

I'm not against you nor do I know if what Henhouse did was right or wrong because I have not been informed of what has happened yet, I'm just stating the facts.

And also if this "army" you refer to is some sort of uprising of anti-henhouse peoples I don't think your going to get far with the idea. Threatening the supreme dictator is assuring your own demise, you should take the appropriate measures of speaking to Henhouse in a civil manner and avoid causing more problems than there needs to be.

Okay seriously, this is stupid. You know well well enough that everyone has the same writing style and no need to show your uncontrolled emotions on this post. Chill. Let time go by and everything will be cleared out. Henhouse hasn't been able to go on a lot because as every human being, has problems that require his attention outside of Smolderforge. My friend, freedom of speech is our civil right where we live, here in the US you know. So I don't care what your TOS says, freedom of speech is our right.

Henhouse bans his donors, makes two developers quit, then cannot take criticism over it, so he bans a developer (who was also a donor).

Henhouse should listen to, and do what the community asks instead of blatantly denying and saying no to ideas, they make the server what it is, not the other way around.

Actually, you had to agree with the ToS before you could even enter the website, so basically, you saying that you don't care about the ToS denies you the right to be on these forums. I'm personally also all for a server where the community gets to pick the changes and all that, but you have to understand that maintaining a server, implementing changes and keeping a healthy community running aren't the most easy tasks at hand.

Back in the days when I was a Lead Administrator+ over at Valhalla Gaming (It has nothing to do with WoW, so don't even bother accusing me of advertising), we had to cope with this behaviour on a daily basis as well. It's stressful and frankly, most of the suggestions are not in the best interest of the server and it's community. Most of the suggestions are basically suggestions that would make the gaming experience better for a small fraction of the player base, but not for all of it. You also have to understand the fact that Henhouse most likely has other things to do as well outside of SF, seeing as you cannot expect him to literally live in his room, working on the server.

What my suggestion to you would be, is to chill out and relax. Take a day off of the server and contemplate on what you've been saying. Just relax, y'know?

I'm sorry to inform you, OUR US CONSTITUTION IS NOT WRITTEN FOR SMOLDERFORGE. You can't understand the simple fact that you cannot come in here and think that you can tell everyone what to do. You just got on the server, and besides the fact that you have helped Henry, you are nothing but another member of this community. You are not the one to demand respect after you insulted others. Your little "army" there, a few days ago, accused you for hacking, and requested a ban. Now it is not my business to tell people what to do, but, learn to control your emotions. Like any other ban, it can be appealed through an email at [email protected].

I agree with Shinja and Avronax, you may need to calm down and think this over, but I have one thing to say just to straighten out a certain piece of this problem...

The US Constitution does indeed give you freedom of speech. I understand that quite well. However our Terms of Services that YOU agreed to gives us rights as well.

You may recall this, if you even read the ToS:

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ACCOUNTS AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU.

This statement that YOU agreed to gives us the right to ban you even for no reason at all. The Constitution does give you rights but it cannot protect, to put it bluntly, stupidity. The Constitution cannot protect you if you sign a contract that constricts your rights as an American. Only you can decide if a contract, or in this case our ToS, is right for you. If you felt that that statement conflicted with your belief that you are protected by the Constitution, and in no way punishable for what you say, then you could have simply denied it and never played our server. Instead, you agreed and played our server and therefore given us the right to ban you.

The whole "dictator" thing was a joke but in this particular situation you could think of it that way, since he has power over players and the staff, who have all agreed to the ToS.

Sorry that I dragged this conversation even further off task but I felt that needed to be said.

I agree with this statement completely; when making changes I will always try to do what is in best interest for the server, and I always have --- not necessary what people want, but what will affect the server as a whole. Coming in here and expecting me to drop everything, create this stuff you want me to do, make drastic modifications to my server which would effect the 200,000 player bases which are always used to the way things run here if very selfish in itself to want that; of course you then say I'm not doing what the community wants -- the very "community" you denounced and cursed at to me over Ventrilo.

Also I love the fact that you state I made two people quit -- who were never hired. Firstly, you're the reason Iziena "quit," as you like to call it. I've stated many times that he was not hired, but simply given a forum rank to be recognized as the person fixing the core. You doubted him over Ventrilo and pretty much talked crap behind his back which I spoke with him about. I believed you in a way, and questioned his abilities which consequently, hurt his feelings and made him very upset. You continued to make fun of him and ask me "what's his excuse for today". You on the other hand, this whole thing started with you flame-raging about getting ganked in Nagrand and demanding this "asshole community" banned.

Now, I am extremely thankful for your help, I really am. But does that grant you the right to spam my forums, flame, curse, threaten and blame me for things? Not at all. Upon being warned to stop this continuation of raging on the forums, you continued your heated topics in other places gradually getting worse and worse. Firstly, we're not going to tolerate spamming, flaming or anything such of that nature on these forums. Yet you continued even after to criticize me and my entire server that you hardly know, nor have taken the time to research and see how updates are made on the server.

Therefore a suspension was placed. You obviously in over 12 hours time have not showed any sign of self-control and will continue to use these forums as a way to express your anger. Therefore, a 72-hour suspension was placed on your account. However you didn't even think to take into account that avoiding a ban is simply just another offense that will now have to be placed on your account, whether it be by me, or another GM has taken care of it. But considering the fact you've now broken numerous terms and show no sights of stopping you're looking at a final warning or account closure.


So to be honest, I will admit with no offense meant, I'm a little shocked to see the immaturity and failure to self-control yourself you've been these past few days. Especially to someone who is supposed to have a lot of responsibility, you clearly are not showing that. This is exactly why I don't spontaneously hire staff and give out positions. The Smolderforge staff are very experienced players who've been here long enough, and are responsible enough to handle the position.

I would suggest taking the advice of the people above me, calm down. You've made this thing huge, I've hardly had any role to play in it since for the past like 30 hours I've been extremely busy and made little to NO appearance on Smolderforge at all.
