How are people glitching the game to enter a bg with deserter debuff. I keep seeing this cheat/bug a lot too.

He was in WSG and already in queue for AB, then he left his WSG and he waited for the AB queue pop.
Simple as that. Feel free to use the bugtracker.

In TBC it was possible to queue for multiple battlegrounds, accept one, and remain queue for the other(s). It is likely this is what happened.
We should add an additional check on the join battleground area, and not just when a player tries to queue.
