In November 2011 I bought my first gaming PC, it cost me £900 pre-built (was a killer deal back then!), it has a 4.5ghz i5 2500k, 8gb ram, and a GTX 580 - you might think that this can fraps easy, but it can't. So if you are going to buy a gaming PC please remember to buy a solid state drive, this will enable you to fraps at max FPS and will make loading times on games literally non-existent. You will save hours of your life waiting for loading screens to appear. Also, get a good power supply and cooler. That way you can upgrade your PC as time goes by.

I bought my PC from http://www.overclockers.co.uk which is the most reputable brand in the UK for pre-built PCs, they sell bundles cheaper than anywhere else and charge less than £100 for their pre-built PCs over the cost of the parts, so you know you're getting a solid deal all the time. My £900 PC is good enough to run every game out there even with mod packs, so if you don't know how to build a PC I strongly recommend getting a pre-built one from a solid and reputable source. Also a 24" monitor is the best option, don't get 23" or 22" because trust me they don't look right, 24" doesn't even look big.

If you are going to give building your own PC a go I strongly recommend http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc this is the best source on the internet for building your PC, it is also the most up to date. What you can do is submit a thread saying where you're from, and what your budget is. Also see if there is a good source for a pre-built PC, they will undoubtedly help you out.

Finally, I recommend an ATI card. I recently got into bitcoins and those GPUs for whatever reason are super quick compared to GTX performance wise in gaming but given standalone tasks they're like 20x quicker than Nvidia. I think the next generation of Nvidia is going to be the next big thing though.

I don't know if it's helpful outside of the US, but when Riski and I both bought our PCs, we used www.hardware-revolution.com and it was incredibly helpful since it tiered the hardware options and bundled them to be compilable, etc. saving a bit of time.

Seems like a nice little PC! You gonna buy yourself something nice with the money ya saved? Remember to keep your external hard drive around, that'll be where you store your movies, music etc. and fraps files. Games and active applications and your OS on the main drive. You will notice straight away a massive speed boost, just wait until you log into WoW for the first time in 0.1 second! :D

Also is it pre-built or are ya gonna going to build it yourself? If you're building that yourself for the first time check out http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc and check the sidebar on the right, they have some really helpful links to help you get started.

Well I just bought all of the parts seperate but I let the store assemble it for me also I have a 3 TB HDD build in not 2 TB. My dad can build it as well but he isn't really up to date on this kinda stuff anymore.

I will receive the new computer within 8 - 10 working days.

Nice! I think Darkmoon Faire will still be in Mulgore by then as well so you can get a bunch of buffs and go ham in the BGs. If you have a nice monitor too turn up the refresh rate, the game will look super smooth. Gotta love having 60 FPS while playing on max settings. :-D
