If you are a truly good player and your name is well known you wont talk shit like that. On Arena Tournament tbc it was a lot worse than Smolderforge for sure... the community there was hostile as fuck, everyone having huge epeen and trying to prove the others that he's the best while bashing everybody else. I used to be totally like that after 1+ year of constantly competing on AT. Used to just flame everybody for no reason no matter if I know him or not... but that's kinda for publicity idk :D that's how 90% of the players get known, just by challenging somebody with like "ur shit im the best" or some shit like that. But after you get like really good at this game you just know exactly why you won or lost, what was wrong, etc. I mean you know your place and you dont need to fucking flame everybody to prove yourself... that's for players who are unsure about how good they really are or just trying to get noticed by their WoW idol lol cause they believe in the illusion that they are superior to everybody they get to play arena with and think they deserve better. Might sound funny but this is the truth. There's also the Moskito type, who are bored of the game for years but continue to play just cause playing wow is the thing in life they are best at. So ye he can log on on some almost dead tbc server, half pve and just feel good about himself cause he knows he's the best arena player online lol and he can state that freely to the whole community by bashing them which is kinda sad if you ask me but thats how it works... anyways this expansion is old as fuck and the people who are left on it have been playing it for a looooong time so its mostly really dedicated players left who just can't accept a loss... like imagine if you invested 6-7 years in this shit and you know that if not at anything else you are good at wow tbc, how would you feel if somebody outplays you it's like you've spent all that time for nothing...

I liked your repply over all but I don't understand why you have to act like you are the father of tbc or giving types about life lol. I mean I play this game and I enjoy myself irl as well. Playing a game doesn't mean you are ruining your life, although you gotta be aware of not letting the game to control you.

Anyway, there's nothing left to do in a server where arenas are just pacted (or they just care about stads/rating) and most of the players just like playing BGs.
