Re: something.
Alright, I'll give you my thoughts on the subject. The arena scene suffers from quite a lot of problems around here, and I don't think you could do much to bring old, competitive players back. You could make the current high-rated scene a bit more competitive though, both for the current and future players. What you want is to add an incentive to keep the competitive players actually compete, and show off their e-peen in various ways.
First, all the previous titles should be removed, except for the r1 titles. If I was playing arena I would like to see the r1 titles removed as well, but I don't think that's an idea shared by the majority of the arena scene. There's another solution to make r1 desirable from season to season though.
Let's say that we rolled with a reset for all the titles up to Gladiator, and kept the old r1 titles. The current rewards would still stand, where players got their ranks and mounts. Titles would be kept for the next seaon, and would reset unless a new title was obtained. People would however keep their mounts.
Too keep the goal of obtaining r1 from season to season desirable, another temporary reward could be implemented. If a team got r1, they would be rewarded with the AQ mount for the next season. They could roll around with this, feeling big, until a new season fired up. Unless they could hold on to r1, the mount would be removed, and rewarded to the new title owners, who would have to hold on to their rank to keep the mount.
This way players could show off that they got their titles at one time or another, while still keeping the active players satisfied and motivated to keep playing and competing.
There you go.

not only does he think of a great hk solution,
he also thought of a arena solution.

I highly suggest that you guys stick to the topic unless you want to see this thread locked down.
On topic : I hope to hear from Henhouse/someone else soon. What Cube suggested(r1 players keep their titles, everyone else loses them) could work as well, however I'm all in for wiping even rank 1 titles-it's been 18 (?) seasons now.
On season length-keep it down to 2,2 and something months and the final week should be announced-not kept in private-it means that the teams with chance of getting a title will start playing more often as the season end approaches leading to more quality ( I hope so) in arenas.
On wiping titles every X seasons- something in the range of 4-5 seasons should be fine, anything less might actually upset people(what's the point in playing for rank 1 if my title gets wiped after 1-2 seasons?)

Re: something.
I already posted evidence straight from Zat admitting that he boosted FAK, it's well known that he paid 40 euros for an arena boost to get the mount, and there's nothing wrong with that. The only thing that is wrong is the fact that he's a pathological liar and refuses to own up to it. That said, it's fine for people to keep their mounts. The thing that we're mostly all agreed on here is that titles should be wiped after a season. It's only fair to new players and to arena players in general that they not be allowed to keep their titles especially if the titles are named the exact same as the current seasons titles. That's just silly.
I also agree on the points made about season length, each arena season varies in length and it leads to confusion among the player base. There needs to be a clear date on approximately how long the seasons last. It's only fair to people.
As for those people like Zat who have earned multiple gladiator titles, I feel like if you earn more than 1 title on an account you should be allowed to keep it for a year or something like that.
Here's the full chatlog taken from way last year when FAK first got his mount:

Re: something.
The odds of titles being removed are slim to none. One of which the coding that would have to be done is pretty insane to take away 200+ rank 1-6 titles. My opinion is on the situation is that, when's the last time you saw rank 1-3 players on in surplus, I think I maybe saw 2 vglads 1 merc glad and 1 glad players on in the past 2 weeks who said they come on maybe once every 2 months. Open your eyes and see that them having titles isn't affecting you getting titles now, and most importantly will not bring them back to playing arenas when 3/4 of the people who are titled of that they played with in title season don't play here anymore.
You can't take something away that was once earned by so few, just because there are 7 more seasons under the belt. As Henhouse stated, over half of the players with titles accounts have been deleted for in activeness anyway, why make him go through the trouble for once in a blue moon you see a old rank 1-6 players just sitting on his mount with a title on.
