Some addons that were used on retail such as Proximo do not work properly if the server isn't giving it the enemy health values in %.
I also doubt that the population drop because of such a minor change as the % values. How autistic can people be that even the slightest change to their precious TBC emulator makes them leave?
Just download Mobinfo2 and you'll be able to see enemies health in real values again, it won't be 100% accurate but it will be blizzlike.
If you want real blizzlike experience you should either invent time machine or wait hundred years till cc will finaly release. You cant talk about full blizzlike on the private server with instant 70, custom features etc. And the thing that made some people to leave (or at least to be displeased with server's policy) is that many fixes were applied just because that was blizzlike, nobody even tried to think about its usefulness for Smolderforge. I'm trying to explain that for years, but seems like nobody hears me.

On a private server the only thing that needs to be blizzlike is the abilities and talents, health bars don't fall into this category. We play private servers so re-experience old expansions of course, but we don't want to re-experience the god awful parts of these expansions either. That's why we play instant 70 and start with access to season 2 and t5, that's why we have transmogrification in an expac where nobody even had a fleeting thought about that feature, that's why we have a neutral dueling zone, do I need to go on? This update to health has brought one thing to everybody, annoyance. Not a single person prefers this to the numbers.
I'm surprised nobody has said this since it's usually spammed every time devs do anything but I guess I'll start, let's implement cross faction battlegrounds instead of trying to fix random things that in reality aren't broken.

I like it, it actually made addons that had always been broken on private servers to some extent work properly for once.
Also, seeing the exact health of your enemy won't make you a better player, just look at all of Hydra's videos, even after TBC he still used % instead of the actual numbers.
But then again like I said, if you really want it, then get MobInfo2.
Well if you haven't noticed you are the only one who like this. So i can say exactly same to you - if proximo doesnt work just get fucking Gladdy (that has way more useful features) and stop using such dumb arguments, who cares what hydra used?
So you couldnt be bothered to download a better addon, but now everybody else should? Please name something besides Proximo that works incorrectly due to the number display health. Proximo even when 100% working is a terrible arena frame and gladdy will always be better and more useful.

Not sure what is happening, but I'd play when I have the time. Just busy with exams and I know Henhouse is really busy too. I'm sure that when the summer comes, he and his team will have plenty of time to get things back on track, including population. Never take things for granted guys. This server is one of the best servers I've ever played on no matter how much it has changed or hasn't . A bit of work and things will start flowing.
And if TBC is getting boring, I am sure Henhouse can always consider making a 70lvl WOTLK server that will add a lot of new features, including new transmog gear. So there's plenty of posibilities.
