However, Pve gear at sunwell level is just sooo far ahead in terms of haste and +damage that it completely screws with the balance of the game. That's what Cube also says.

This is a brilliant idea! At the moment you have to farm with quests to get professions, if there was a way to do it by PvPing it would be awesome. It would attract people to try new things, with many people showing little or no interest in Azshara Crater I believe if you made it known to people on the server that they can gain bonuses such as professions by doing PvP quests it would interest a lot of people. Of course this may only serve to increase the number of people with professions, so it would have to be balanced accordingly so that it takes a fair amount of effort to gain the rewards. However I believe if you make it too hard to obtain materials you will only serve to upset a lot of people, instead what about if materials cost honor? Or if in order to access the vendors with the materials you had to pay a fee of BoJ?

We have actually toyed with some really interesting ideas for Azshara crater. They would require a significant overhaul of the server resource/consumable system to make the zone viable as a daily/group/pve hub. I think we can agree that in it's current state the zone is a little pointless, and yet we do not really want to go back to the farmfest that was Hyjal.

Sorry, I used the wrong word. I didn't mean to say that people could not experiment with PvE gear, I meant to say that they couldn't experiment with SWP gear, the enjoyment is experimenting with BiS gear, stacking haste, crit, AP, etc. and seeing how it turns out. It doesn't mean you're going to be some immortal beast, it just means you get to try a fun spec/gear combination. Anyway, Henry isn't talking about removing SWP gear, just balancing the vendor. But I don't quite know what that means. People were really pissed the last time they wiped SWP gear and made it cost honor and money. Also, yes there is a whole bunch of other PvE gear available besides SWP gear but using that is basically handicapping yourself, aside from T6 you're really not going to be useful in PvP at all unless you're maybe a Rogue.
