Talk about anything here, related to Smolderforge or not.

Not really. That's how you keep the competition alive.

I agree. There is no reason why they should have their titles if they have their mounts. It makes no sense for there to be dozens of title-holders at once, it makes the titles far less special and also means that people who already have titles no longer try to get them again. This should definitely be done. I can't think why it wasn't suggested sooner.

Those titles should last for a season, or maybe two.

But let's face it, WoW, most notably TBC, isn't really something which is meant to be competitive. On top of that TBC is quite ancient these days, there isn't a steady stream of new players at all. Most people here had their good share of experience with that expansion, nowadays new players are comfortable with what they get though. They're used to casual easy mode stuff, and they don't even think about downloading something they have no idea of.
So basically I don't think this idea would change anything in the long-run.

good idea, but you'd have to wipe titles every season to make it more fair

Every two seasons sounds better tbh.

He's an idiot because?...

Everything he said is actually true.
Don't mistake yourself. The fact you see people play arena does not make the expansion competitive (in comparison to newer expansions - This is the nature of things. Newer expansions are more evolved and their skill ceiling is getting progressively higher). Yes TBC is VERY fun n all, but no it is not competitive. TBC is an expansion with plenty of RNG and very limited gameplay variation - the whole gameplay is basically a bit more difficult than LoL (for example) - a mediocrely complex micromanagement game.
I personally play TBC again due to the nostalgia and because it doesn't need 2836723 keybinds and 36382449 different tactics. Why? Because I've grown past the age at which I'd bother to "conquer the world". Now having some fun in a moderately competitive game is enough for me. That's as far as it goes.
But as I said, TBC competition is a joke compared to the newer WoW Expasions and/or other games.
Just my thoughts right now.

On topic: I'll agree with Seret here. Every 2 seasons (maybe make seasons a bit shorter?) sounds more fair.

Speaking from personal experience. I quit at the end of S9. Up to that point, I think you can not deny I'm correct. WotLK requires far more skill than TBC (mainly due to the very fast pace) and S9 was a decent season as well, imo. Idk how things are now on retail though, and wether the game has progressed or went to hell.
I think the game becomes more and more complex with every expansion, as new things are added and players have to adapt to a more complex gameplay. Now, wether or not said gameplay is retarded/fast-paced/skillful/whatever is another story. My original point is that it is undoubtedly more complex. Maybe I didn't write things down correctly.
