That is very true. Passion, you Monster, United... they all suffer their share of defeats when they go up against pugs with decent coordination.
United is dead and Passion are dicks

Only the alliance is doing premades atm I guess

Neither side usually has any coordination at all. That's the problem. It's getting to the point it's about how many healers the group has. More often than not, horde has one or none; while alliance stacks more than they even need. (which ultimately, gimps their output potential, but makes the team just a pain in the ass to get out of a selected area.)

In the rare case, you'll face a team that actually targets healers. And you'll have to depend on your team to peel off you, (but they usually won't. This is not faction specific.) But again, more than half the time, I can go Oom healing the team while facing only minor resistance in my spamming. I have to agree with Cube, which I tend to avoid doing... The PvP as a whole, is a freaking joke.

And it's not getting to a point where it's about how many healers a team has, or how much a team cleaves, or how poor a team coordinates. This has always been the case, or at least as long as I've been playing here.

We can't change the players. Only the system can change the players. Similar to arena the competence of players will evolve if it is forced to due to competition. Maybe people need to start organising premade vs premade action?
Perhaps GM events could incorporate this idea?

It has always been the case, but people have paid it more attention the past 2 years or so

I love when you use that card for no reason. It's like seeing a black man being arrested for theft, while he's holding the TV... "you're arresting me cuz I'm black, ain'tcha?!"
