... That is what typically happens when you "execute" a query on a database table. Sure, the character_inventory table is there (actually you need item_instance too), but what if you move it to the wrong GUID, where did you move it to, oops. In fact, that is the worst way to move an item, because chances are the slot in your bag is already going to be full on the receiving character. Unless you're doing a full transfer there's no sense to do anything related to the bags other than transferring the characters to your account and logging in and doing it manually.SnoozeButton wrote: Yes, but you could easily transfer an item without executing anything. All that needs to go down is a little modification to your Character_Inventory table in the Chars DB
Sure, that's not hard either. But then what happens when the GM accidentally copied and pasted something other than the person's account ID, and did not write it down, and accidentally moved their character back to... nothing.
You see, it _all_ comes RIGHT back to me. Therefore, why not eliminate all these problems and simply have me do them? There's bound to be problems on that road, and as I said before, NONE of the GMs have any desire to do transfers. They're not at all entertaining and I would prefer they did not assist with them. Players simply need to develop some patience. Transfers are usually not this slow, they only are during holidays.
As I explained above, and in my initial reply to this thread. It simply is counter-productive and unnecessary.SnoozeButton wrote: Not trying to antagonize you or anything of the sort, just trying to understand why you won't let anyone help you D:
