Re: World PvP
I won't be allowing HKs from PvP zones in the future. It becomes too focused on trying to HK farm, get ahead, etc. Ezatt tried using it to quickly gain HKs to get ahead of FAK, who responded by doing the exact same. HKs ruin everything so disabling from these zones seems very important. I know it takes the fun away, but if you want them --- play a balanced battleground.Xaru wrote:I don't think World PvP will work without rewards. We have Hyjal, another zone similar but more or less FFA focused would also be great fun. If there was a way to safely implement a system where you get rewarded for getting world PvP HK's with badges or other stuff then that would make a dramatic difference, but it would be abused a lot. A neutral dueling zone is something that is needed, the TK one works fine and lots of duels go on there but it's a bad spot with not much room to PvP in. If a teleporter was moved to somewhere neutral it would be a good spot for us to PvP for fun. You don't even have to make either side unattackable without dueling first. It would quell some of the arguments. :p
I'm too tired to open my eyes properly so I can't proof-read what I just wrote so I'm going to hope it makes sense.

Sorry henry, But thats the whole problem with SF atm its time zone dependant so a balanced BG is impossible.

Essentially we accidentally made it so BGs/Instances forgot how to count. That's why the buffs never went away and you could never do anything timed, or calculated.
So basically you set there nationality to Iran?
Re: World PvP
I didn't mean in a perfect world, I meant due to the fact there is a cap on the amount of people, the maps are designed by Blizzard to be somewhat equal for both sides, etc. I wasn't talking about donors, amount of population, timezone, etc.Retrobution wrote:Henhouse wrote:play a balanced battleground.

Re: World PvP
The playerbase themselves institute that. Both sides are equally horrid, honestly. Alliance afks if they find horde has healers. Horde just cannot work together, and when they do, it involves a graveyard or the middle. From a full on PuG point of view, you get no support or coordination. Asking for them to return the flag just gets you put on ignore.Retrobution wrote:Henhouse wrote:play a balanced battleground.

Which is why, with the exception of WSG, I refuse to queue unless I have a premade backing me. Don't like premades? Too fucking bad, I'm tired of retards that will never get any better or ever even try for anything besides a hk or two.
Now, I know Arena wintrading is illegal, but is throwing games because of shit teams tolerated? Example: I have the flag, horde/ally which I'm on, is farming middle. I have double debuff, because nobody's making any effort to return the flag. If I drop the flag purposefully to progress the game, even if it means a loss, are there negative penalties from staff? I know my brother, whom has even less patience for stupidity than I do, will do this at the drop of a hat. I just want to know if that's allowed or if that constitutes wintrading.

Re: World PvP
This is really not neccessary and I feel kinda bad for ruining that for other people. But I got a solution for it seen it work on AT in the FFA-zone. If you just allow a maximum of people to group up (for example 3 or 5 people max) in the FFA zone then you can avoid excessive farming like how I have done in Hyjal in the past. Since at that time I used my full guild to go their to farm HK's but if you do it so that you can only group up with 3 people then you have to fight the other players that are not in your group. I think it requires some coding since horde normally can't attack other horde players. But it would be great to have such a FFA area on the TBC server regardless which area I don't care really.Henhouse wrote:I won't be allowing HKs from PvP zones in the future. Also the reason your Wrath of the Lich King server died is because you let people group up with full raid groups in FFA and then you get the kinda Firstaidkit vs Ezatt situation where people are just going there with big groups to farm a few players without group.
Remove groups in FFA and it will be way better or set a maxium amount of players per group to avoid excessive farming.
I'm sorry about what I've done.
P.S. I lol'd at the balanced battlegrounds part if there is anything not balanced here then that's bg's.

Re: World PvP
Firstaidkit doesn't really play anymore, and the HK limit is capped. So why do that now? What will it achieve? So what if people HK farm in Hyjal, it's supposed to be a PvP zone and people kill eachother there... isn't that what it's supposed to be for? Please clarify Henry...Henhouse wrote: I won't be allowing HKs from PvP zones in the future. This isn't related but I forgot the answer you gave for this:
How come some of the strongest classes can get Sunflare but the other classes can't get their own SWP items? Isn't that a bit unfair? I never understood the reasoning behind that. It's like this server is having all the fun sucked out of it and it's gone from a PvP fun server to a confused transexual lesbian armadillo.

While you're at it, find out why the sunwell shoulders cost honor but legs don't, since legs are obviously the one pve piece almost everyone uses.Xaru wrote: How come some of the strongest classes can get Sunflare but the other classes can't get their own SWP items? Henhouse was going to make it so that the shoulders would only be attainable from killing the last boss in BT. He thought they were the most wanted item that people wanted to have, like arena shoulders. >.>Deems wrote:While you're at it, find out why the sunwell shoulders cost honor but legs don't, since legs are obviously the one pve piece almost everyone uses.Xaru wrote: How come some of the strongest classes can get Sunflare but the other classes can't get their own SWP items? I wish the fruit cakes come back, everyone wants them back. It just slows the PvP down and ruins the fun that slight bit more. I have to spend so long doing nothing when all I want to do is have fun. I know it's been said a lot but the people who disagreed with me on that were stupid and I was right! >:(
