Regardless to how people feel, the fact is that we reserve the right to censor certain topics as we feel the need to. Even if you say they didn't go too far that doesn't mean we won't lock them. Some of the topics hadn't entered the danger zone yet but they were topics that had similar users posting as ones that had gone too far. I'm sure a futuristic judgment was made that it would get bad just like the others.

I might not agree that you can't have an opinion on someone without meeting them, but irregardless Konar is a GM and everyone should respect him to a degree. You don't have to like him or any of us but that doesn't mean you can trash talk us at whim which is something I think all of the players on the server need to realize. This isn't a democracy, this is a dictatorship.

Use more common sense next time you post something. If you think it might be offensive or will cause flame wars, problems with other players, etc. just don't make the post. I have no problem locking every single post like that (although it is a waste of my, and other GMs', time), but don't ask why it's been locked when it is clearly obvious.

Locking topics perfectly makes sense, but it gets a little bit tricky when trashtalk gets pushed beyond the limits by people who just shouldn't act that way to begin with (or maybe unless they're adapt at posting with several pseudonyms... =p). On top of that I personally think it's not justified to just delete posts from individuals then, as people pretty much have to live through the consequences in my eyes, GM or not (unless they're just breaking the rules of course). Same with just muting people because of the lack of arguments, that's just not how GM powers should be used to discuss personal character trait issues.

But yeah... locking topics before a shitstorm happens, totally reasonable.
