I can try helping you reduce your ping if you would like me to try to help you. Where do you live by the way, what country?

Also if anyone can find a really good/affordable host in the Eastern US I would move any day, I swear. California was just too far away. This server was started and founded in the Eastern US and I would love to keep it that way, it's right on the border line to reach Europe and the other side of the states.

But I doubt I will be able to find anything good, I can try looking some more in my free time but I don't know.

Edit: While searching for new servers, I read a really, really bad article about our previous host. Apparently they are scamming a lot of users and doing some bad things... Which is why they reformed and renamed in January with other companies. So now I'm actually very thankful we're no longer hosted by them.

I live in Australia, Tasmania.

Pathetic that everytime i log in im siting on 400-500ms? I didn't donate to pay for a server move which would make me not play here anymore.

Any australian can't play WoW unless its in the US, And for retail ( Live ) we all use Lowerping, Which use's proxy servers to lower your ping.

If you can help, be great.

Please be reminded when you donate, you're doing it out of the kindness of your heart.

Smolderforge in NO WAY is a company that is trying to sell you a product or item.

Need I get the definition of 'donate'? So no, you will not receive a refund for something you donated for.

And, I bet Henhouse can reduce your ping by a lot if you actually work with him instead of assuming your time on SF is ruined.

Well, first try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5fjysf-hUw this can tell Windows to send out packets faster which sometimes can help.

Also I can try tweeking the settings for the server. There is a setting that I've never touched... and from what I've read it has something to do with how packets are sent out in areas. If I change the value, from what I've read it compensates people that live much farther away but in result give people closer worse ping. Now, this doesn't mean people in Europe would then get like 200 ping, probably like 10-30 more ms of ping. Now, I can try this doing this. I would like to see how it works honestly because it's a problem if people are having connection issues to the server.

I mean there's a reason Blizzard has servers in certain regions, it is _very hard_ to get good signal to everyone. I'll go ahead and look into changing this and prepare a restart for this setting.

I've applied the change. My ping went up 20. >_>, but let me know if it's significantly better by chance.

571 ms > 490.

Thanks, but no where near playable. I used to have around 190 here, which is good for me, but meh.

There isn't much else you can do to lower it imo, if there is let me know.

I hope one day the server hosts change, untill then peace.
