Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
Hey there,
I have recently heard you guys have decided to turn back the server into a fully tbc experience and I think It was a great idea. However, I have seen some stuffs that I personally consider can be improved in order to provide this objective.
When I heard this piece of news, I rapidly went online to check it myself and to try how sunwell items would fit on my characters. Everything was alright until I realised there were no Sunwell Recipes Items on the vendors. These items are as same level as other sunwell pieces, even they're core items in some characters like:
- https://tbc-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?item=34377 for Warriors.
- https://tbc-twinhead.twinstar.cz/?item=34361 for Rogues
and many other great crafting items that are really powerful for certain classes. So my question is, why having a fully release sunwell gear and not sunwell crafting gear? I think it should be immediately added either on the Proffesion Area ( as it was before) or on the Sunwell vendor removing the Proffesion requirement.
In addition, checking that s3 items are for free now, I did not fully understand why t6 weapon prices were not reduced to a half as it happened on t6 Misc. Items. I think reducing t6 weapon prices to a half would help players to get closer to a normal s4 donator player and considering that s3 is now free and s3 goes with t6 content, understanding that sunwell gear is a priority for pve/pvp players right now, but without having to give them for free and making players to keep supporting the server with voting.
Finally, I would like to open question into "Why not adding (in medium terms) Warglaives Weapons to the server", considering that any other tbc content is now released on the server(including thoridal). It could be added as a low drop chance in the Scarlet Instance, making people to experience the wondering times PvE'ing on TBC.
Thanks in advance, Mirok.

Re: Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
The recipes drop in Scarlet Citadel I believe
Re: Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
Thanks for the feedback.
As for the recipes, those currently are earned through Scarlet Citadel, as johnsmith said. This was how it was years ago as well, but so many people had the recipes and Sunmotes to craft everything back then so it may not have been as noticeable as it is now with a drought of players knowing the recipes.
Sunmotes currently haven't been fully integrated back into the game, either, which we're aware of. We're looking to find the ways we ideally want them to be collected before fully adding them back. Once this is done, and more people have collected recipes (many are farming each day), there will be an influx of these items reentering the scene. There is a black market on Sunmotes currently from people who hoarded theirs since the removal in 2014... so that's been amusing to see.
I will let Oldsalt comment on the T6 weapon pricing since he is in charge of that.
As for Warglaives, I would be open to more feedback on the suggestion, but I am a bit wary of whether or not it's a good idea. Thori'dal is a regret, which I've stated a few times in the past. We added it many, many years ago when Hunters were very broken and the buff of having such a good weapon helped compensate that problem. Now that they work relatively well, the weapon is just crazy strong. I just didn't feel right wiping a weapon so many had farmed for or donated for. Warglaives could easily be the next "mistake". There's two of them, and Rogues are already one of the strongest classes in TBC. :/

Re: Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
Rogues one of the strongest classes in TBC you say? In arenas I agree with you but in bags their actually one of the weakest classes. And still is with the septic items. They do worse dpw then just about any caster and since their forced into melee range and squishy af they die very easily too. Their stuns can be hard countered by living/free action potions and antivemon makes it harder for them to apply poisions. So if you introduce warglaives I can guarantee you we will see rogues dominate harder in arena but in bgs they will still be a fairly weak class

Re: Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
Bgs not bags. Damn autocorrect
Re: Missing sunwell items on store & some ideas
pls pls pls no warglaives plssssssssssssssssssssssssssss thori dal is not even close as strong as them stop making this comparison... the epic swp bow has almost the same stats as thori and there is nothing similar to the glaives. Also hunters are so few compared to rogues... even if u add them with some very low drop chance eventually everybody will have them and use them with 4 t6 and thats way too much, not enjoyable. Another reason not to add them is that a bunch of people tried hard to get the warglaive transmog looks and if you implement real warglaives those ppl will have nothing special anymore.

I'm Curious, are there more Players now?
Nonentheless I have a Feeling I didn't have in months.....
Excitement about SF and it's changes.
I wonder if any of the old Players found their way back to SF?

Is this a joke? We have farmed for months for the full sunwell sets. Then they removed it all at once. Now bring it back and expect us to farm it all over again? Really?
