have you ever played any other expansion? i mean not just installed and qued for 2 BGs, played arena for a time with succes that you actually can analyze the game.prolly not.
"wow has no potential for esports anymore" rofl, do you want to say that tbc had potential for esports? ive never seen an esports game with rng. lock setup instant lose vs meele cleave? xD. i dont think that you have any exp in any expansion.
"but if you want ACTUAL balance then you can't even have different classes - classes and specs are designed to have advanteges and disadvantages against specific other classes/specs"
thats my point acutally. in tbc there is almost no diversity in speccs/classes. i dont talk about 100% pure balance, just to make a superold, unbalanced game more enjoyable for people who play tbc arenas for a very long time. as i said, there are only a few comps/speccs in tbc arena that are acutally good. everything else is beyond shit what makes this expansion unbalanced. my point is to buff bad classes/speccs to get more diversity in the game like in other expansions
Custom Balance TBC Arena-Server

"tbc had potential for esports? ive never seen an esports game with rng."
hearthstone. and AT THE TIME tbc didn't just have potential for esports, it was one of the most competitive games in the world. today it probably has no potential just like the other expansions.
lock setup instant lose vs meele cleave? this wasn't meant to be accurate it's just an example. Melee setups have an advantage against specific other classes/setups and have a disadvantage against other setups. You know about this since people choose their 2s setup based on what you're playing in order to get an advantage and counter your setup. paper rock and scissors is balance in the blizzard world.
"have you ever played any other expansion?" I've seen enough bullshit in many different expansions to know that they aren't balanced either. You might say there's more diversity now but this has to do with the new classes and player numbers aswell. Retail TBC actually had a lot of diversity I can recount facing countless different setups in the 2s top tier bracket. Of course a setup which is easily countered doesn't work if you're only playing against a few teams. They will take the easy route and counter you, but on retail this isn't possible because you would need to invest a lot of time into different chars in order to even be able to play different setups. This means you would spend less time perfecting your main setup. So double pom pyro mage might have worked on retail but it's at least twice as hard to make it work on any TBC private server. Now don't criticize my example again. I'm just saying it's way easier to be successful with a random double dps setup if you have 10,000 different teams playing. There was no dodging, no relogging on different classes and in most cases not even respeccing.
"make a superold, unbalanced game more enjoyable (...) buff bad classes/speccs to get more diversity in the game like in other expansions" I like this idea a lot.
