What's the point in excluding people from SF who admit their mistakes?
Retail GMs were more tolerant and clever than SF GMs, and that's not just because every player was paying money, it was because the penalty system was legit and GMs actually used their fucking brain.

Retail:
I used hacks in rated arenas - 7 days ban
Spam insulted a guy - 1 day ban
Hacked in arenas again - 2 weeks or 1 month ban
LFG spam, beef, racism - 1 hour mute and a warning (note that on my server the pop was at least 10-100 times as high as on SF)

SF: Insult someone who insults people regulary - perma ban for being toxic

It makes sense because we have less players therefore every player is less important.... oh wait

There's also a massive difference between a game you paid money for and a monthly subscription to play, and put a significant amount of time into leveling characters and progressing in the game. A suspension on retail was more significant because there was more at stake. When you have an instant-70, no-pay wall to start playing kind of game like SF, people have very little sense of self-moderation and you end up with an environment like YouTube comments.

Blizzard had a "3-strikes you're out" system. So if you ever had 3 offenses, they did, and would, permanently close your account. Hacking in arena would likely result in a permanent ban, if not very, very close to. Blizzard GMs were extremely strict. They were also extremely unforgiving. They would never give you a 2nd/3rd chance like we have done countless times.

Not sure if what you said is true.
I've been banned once from retail (eu) for making jokes in general chat, they told me that if I break any rules after that I will get permanently banned.
Retail is more strict than SF, a lot more.

Also, you mentioning those people whom are banned for being toxic is getting so old and annoying. Explaining things 10x times is nothing anyone would do, especially when we actually gave Ptaq another chance. Like, could you not?

I've been banned once, and were given once last chance.
Ptaq, horrorfever, ruuren, kuungen just for mentioning a few, have been banned over 10+ times, for breaking rules that they actually would have been banned for on retail, do you honestly think they would't have been permanently banned there yet?
