Re: Fury's/Mire's GM application (On the forums purely for my benefit, feel free to remove).
I'm only posting this on here too for my benefit. I am curious to see what kind of support I receive. Feel free to remove this post. Copy emailed too.
What is your character's name in-game:
Throughout my time at Smolderforge, I've been known as Fury. This is only up until recently where I brought my newer IGN in to play; Mire. Any character with "Mire" in their name will be me. (Mireqewt is the main character I play).
How old are you:
I turned 18 on the 29th April.
What country do you currently live in:
I live in the UK. (Timezone= BST)
Other languages fluent in besides English: (If so, how well:)
Only English, however, I can understand bits of many languages due to living abroad.
Have you ever been a Game Master on another server? (Just to see, no additional bonuses):
Yes, I was Head GM on a server called ZwowZ for well over 2 years. (4.0.6 server, they were the days). Still have contact with 1 out of 2 of the Admins/Owners.
Occupation(s), if school/university include grade/year level:
I'm an IT guy (part-time) at a friends business. Asides from this, I'm at College doing an IT extended diploma.
When did you start playing on Smolderforge?
I started playing Smolderforge in 2011 where I played for a long period of time (probably around a year). I then had a long break and I have been back for a while now.
How much experience with seeing in-game Smolderforge GMs do you have? (opening tickets and speaking with GMs, or seeing how we typically function)
I've spoken to a few GMs. Happens on quite a regular basis now as I'm friendly with them. Also nice to get lots of support for the upcoming PvE guild I'm currently running.
Do you work well with others or are you better independent?
I work great in a team. I enjoy getting on with things on my own though, too. I'm never one to step away from help or asking for help, when needed.
What experience with retail WoW do you have?
I have played retail for well over 10 years now. I played from the start when I was just a young kid as I was brought up in a "gamer" family. My father played the BETA meaning I was made an account very early on. I've played every expac.
I was max level in every expac after TBC. (After cata I had at least 8/9 max levels).
What do you think qualifies you to be a Game Master on Smolderforge? What do you have to offer to the community?
I think I'm experienced as a GM which gives me an edge over others. I know what I can bring to Smolderforge and I believe that the server needs resparking. I'm here to offer my undying hours of play and my great social skills to
a) help players with every day problems &
b) bring my countless ideas and innovative mind in to play. I have many ideas that I believe should be listened to.
As well as all of this, I have experience running my own server. I know what the players want and need. Me.
Have you agreed to the CoC:
Yes.
Any additional comments you would like to add?
I really think that I can bring a change to the server in many aspects. With my previous GM experience, I feel that I am a different sort of person. A lot of the time, you see Game Masters across Pservers doing menial chores, such as tickets & small-time events. I would be great at keeping players entertained and bringing a larger population to the server. This will be achieved as the name Mire rings across the whole of the private server population. ;D

As my first in-game interraction with you I can say that you have great potential to answer everything in a maner not too pleasant.
You were spamming on LFG constantly (1 to 2 min) to make SSC group, and I told you to shut it down because there was already an active SC raid, my bad there, I didn't read it properly. But anyway, you started to flame at me already. GM or future GMs shouldn't act like that. Maybe you can be a great GM but man, work on your temperament.
Good luck!

I wouldn't call it flame. I would call it mockery.
The point of having a separate account from your Game Master account is so that you are able to
A) Act professionally and accordingly when on duty
B) Have your own time and your own will to act as you please
If I were GM, people would not know. This means that people are able to think whatever they wish of my <Mire> account, however, have a completely different opinion on my GM capabilities.
I know this sounds a little strange, but I have two very different sides to me. I'm a good, fun guy, but down to business when required.

sooner or later people get to know your normal character and what you do and how you behave begin to matter
but then, some gms dont really hide their identity much and its not a problem from what I have seen

Ah, well, where this may be true in some cases, that does not mean it always has to be reality. ;-D
My behavior is and will be suitable to the scenario I face. I am no bore. ;-)

Game Master applications are supposed to be sent to our email not on our forum, and that you already know. I don't see any point of you posting it here and it won't make your chances any higher.
